The non-definitive 2014 edition has already been free on Epic, not sure how different this one is
Usually “gold edition”, “game of the year edition”, “definitive edition” or whatever seems to mean it includes expansions or extras, though this one didn’t seem to actually explain it.
I put the 2014 in the title so you know it’s not the one everyone likes!
My B for not being clear, I was poking fun at the game itself for being called Definitive in spite of its lack of quality.
Is it actually a bad game or just an unworthy successor? Or I guess to put it another way, what would you think of it if it wasn’t calling itself Thief?
At the time, the 2014 game was a big departure from what made the original 2 so much fun. Where the original games were more true sandboxes, this one was a bit more on rails and overall less fun. It might be worth a revisit a decade later though, I’m interested to check out what makes this “definitive”.
This comment makes it seem like I guessed correctly
So basically not much! Still, I might give it a look if the price is right.
