Effects aside compiz was just gorgeous, every time i go looking for window decorations on pling it always seems like the pretty ones were made for just compiz
Using runit instead of systemd, everything these days is made to work with it so redoing system services to work with runit is a headache, but the boot times make it worthwhile
I’d love to try a tiling wm but KDE and mate are the only things i can get to look the way i like, and i can’t find anyone else that made a glossy frutiger aero hyprland rice
I tried gentoo a while ago and couldn’t figure out portage, but that’s on me… The reason i switched to from standard arch was just because my pc took 3 miniutes to boot (from nvme) and changing my init sys to runit solved my issue. I’d love to actually figure out gentoo someday though
God please make this for modern linux somebody
Ever cosider that there’s a reason why the latinos moved to the right?
Careful with that XZ package
I’d love ubuntu, my only real problem with it is it’s owned by a company and not community backed
I use Artix, but hate coffee altogether and would rather drink southern iced tea, what does that say?
I actually love Lemmy, my only problem is it’s absolutely infested with democrats and communists
I think this came from the fact that if you bit into an apple and a raw potato while holding your nose, they’d have the same exact taste and texture
Screensavers! I know they’re technically pointless in the modern era but dammit they make me happy
Unfortunately there’s no possible way to get screensavers working under wayland, which is what’s holding me back (also screensharing over Discord, but that’s not wayland’s fault)
I agree with copyleft and the fsf’s core ideas, but also understand some people just don’t like gnu, due to just not wanting to call it “gnu/linux” and stallman being kind of weird
