The problem is the concept of work hasn’t shifted to keep up with the technological reality that has been created. Jobs should slowly be phased out. We need a new economical concept to take hold that doesn’t rely solely on class and fear to make it trundle along. Jobs should be what you do to grow your own fruit and veggies for fun, while the administration and maintenance of basically everything should be left to technology. Wealth and wealth accumulation should no longer exist or be seen as anything other than childish and irrelevant.

Your model doesn’t allow for billionaires to make even more money. Imagine a billionaire like a dictator, there is no shortage of sycophants riding their coat tails to secure more for themselves, who then egg on said dictator, in a self perpetuating cycle.

Human nature, despite our collective instinct in our society, still has this 5% of people who are unwilling to share and would simply rather take more for themselves in order to leverage a stronger position again in the future. It’s like a throwback to the primitive ape survival instincts that have no need to exist today, and yet they’re more pervasive than ever.

Things can change very fast depending on specific circumstances. I hope you’re more wrong than you think.

Any time that things change quickly, it usually means something bad is about to happen. Revolutions and coups seldom have a direct benefit for the average person.
