A group of young environmentalists in Honduras are turning used cooking oil into soap and dog food.

    In my neighbourhood (I’m in South America) there’s always a van collecting used cooking oil, they make soap out of it; we simply put the oil in old containers (like soda bottles), and when the van is nearby we dump it there. For the population you’re getting rid of some obnoxious shit you’d be fined if you poured down the drain, and for the soap makers it’s free raw materials.

    Still, I like to see even those folks in North America are catching up.
