I’m super curious to see how big the market is for a slightly slimmer phone with a battery that won’t make it through the whole day.

There was a market for iPhone Minis but Apple abandoned them anyway. I think Apple has some throwaway budget to give these things a spin to see if they stick. Pro Max did.

Yeah there are a lot of good reasons to want smaller outer dimensions, but a couple mm slimmer with worse battery life? I struggle to see who this would be a good trade off for.

I think it didn’t work out well for Samsung… so i guess, not a big market? Phones are already super thin… why not make a (slightly) thicker one and put a massive battery, better cooling system, headphone jack and whatnot in it?

        That’s certainly what I’d prefer.

if you want longer battery life you can add a battery pack, but you can’t go backwards to make a slimmer phone if that’s what you prefer.
