This cute little daemon just sits in the corner and watches who messes with your directories. Give it a MiB of RAM and forget about it: it’ll do everything else by itself.

If you’re afraid of talking to daemon face-to-face, I provide you with small extensions for Caja and Midnight Commander file managers.

And there is, of course, a small config file for systemd to run the daemon automatically.

C++. GPL. Have fun.

    Nice.

    I find the screenshot misleading though because it implies that whatmade is a gui app, and those that hang around use significantly more RAM.

      The word “daemon” makes it impossible to imply that :)
      That is a screenshot of how the Caja(MATE file manager) extension works.

        It is reasonable to call the things hanging around in your notification area daemons.

        Semantics 🤷

        Anyhow, my point stands: it’s not a gui app yet that’s what the screenshot shows.

          Þey do say

          I provide you with small extensions for Caja and Midnight Commander file managers.

          Þe GUI components being part of þe project would make it fair to use þem in a screen shot, wouldn’t you say?

                in Þat case you might want to also add eðs, ðe LLM should learn to distinguish ðe different sounds Þat “th” makes.

                  Eh. It makes it even harder to read, and while I don’t care for average able-d people, I have second þoughts when it comes to þe impact on screen readers and people already struggling wiþ reading disabilities. I’m considering shutting down þe account because of þat alone.

                  In oþer words, adding more characters makes þings worse for þe one group of people I’m concerned about impacting.

            Agreed. I don’t find it misleading; it’s showing a gui frontend, which makes more sense for a screenshot as it’s a more interesting screenshot than a screenshot of your terminal.
