    No. First hit it’ll chip or break. For ice you need steel.

    Sounds terrible. But I encourage you to try it, it is a good exercise in understanding the material better. Maybe try a smaller scale first

    I don’t know what PLA cost but this is $25 and will actually do the job.

    No. Go buy a shovel, it will probably be cheaper than the filament anyway and actually be able to do what you want.

    How big is the printer? This sounds like a very expensive, bad idea.

      I was thinking something like a chisel, but yeah, these comments suggest even that would break before the ice.
