More games should use FFXIV’s cross hotbar system. It’s really, really good. I don’t see why this couldn’t work for WoW too.

Basically it’s hold L2 - you get 8 buttons. All of the dpad directions and the four shape buttons. Holding R2 gives you another 8. From there you can either hold R2+L2 for 8 more, cycle with R1 to another set of 16 or double tap either R2 or L2 for 8 each. More than enough for anything. People clear ultimate content (hardest stuff) all the time with controller and it’s just as normal as mouse and keyboard.

Upvote or downvote something then undo it and you can get scrolling again. It works for me every time

I started playing Pokémon Red before I even knew how to read. I had no idea how to save and just assumed I would find a save point eventually like a bunch of other games. I have no idea how many times I dejectedly had to turn off the GameBoy halfway through Mt. Moon. I was convinced the save spot had to be on the other side.

I know this isn’t what your asking for but I just did this manually. Took like 45 min or so. I took a screenshot of all the communities I’ve followed so far and searched them. Then I went through with the Apollo JSON feature and double checked that I didn’t miss anything. The time you spend finding a script is probably better spent just doing this tbh. I actually found even more communities that didn’t exist when I did this originally after my reddit migration
