  • “we’re not even covering our own citizens”

“We” already are. If by “we” you mean Californians.

Also what’s the alternative here? ER’s can’t deny help based on insurance. So if an immigrant goes to the hospital, should the hospital foot the bill or should that be covered by the state?

Bringing homelessness, crime, and drugs into this is a false dichotomy. Those are separate issues. But hey if people aren’t going broke from getting sick maybe homelessness, crime, and drug use may go down. If you’re trying to fix those issues then health care should be top of your list anyway.

And like other comments have stated, they DO pay taxes.

And all that being said, when I need to go to the dentist, I go to Mexico because it’s cheaper even with health insurance here.

  • Also of note is the fact that the memo is addressed to employees in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, and Utah. That leaves two states where In-N-Out operates — California and Oregon — that are apparently exempt from the mandate.

So does In n Out not care about customer service in California and Oregon? Or do they not care about safety in other states?

Just kidding. I know they don’t care about either. Luckily there’s a restaurant near me that has basically copied their recipes so I don’t have to worry about contributing to some regressive idiots.

  • I really don’t want to see the worst of reddit on this site. Turts put wayyy too much of their time into reddit and made it way too much of their sense of self worth. That being said the insane shit he had to put up with from people would drive anyone to a dark place. Shit there are even other users who redditors assume are a Turt alt that are getting harassed. If you have any vested interest in this topic at all, you are exactly as much of the problem as Turtle. Let reddit burn along with all your hate for the former mods and move the fuck on.
