I very strongly disagree. It may appear that way, but community is simply less profitable than “influencers”, so communities aren’t invested in. Social media and even following influencers/content creators is an example of people looking for community, just not having healthy communities to pick from.
It gets better, because all the money they “lost” on a movie they can also write off. Oops, we didn’t make any money this year because we put out 10 billion dollar movies and only made 10 million at the box office. Tax break please!

Based on my understanding of non-religiously biased history, the character of Jesus Christ is an amalgamation of many Jewish prophets who preached a generally similar message.
People who would ever consider voting for the Toupee have no standards. No bar, no logic or even thought goes in to who they vote for.
The people who are planning to vote against the Toupee have standards. And the Democratic party has continually failed to meet those standards. And the only time the people have any power to pressure a politician is when they’re running for office. Anyone claiming “just vote in the D, then we can focus on getting progress made” is a centrist who is ok being perpetually part of the oppressed class.
Yes, we need to vote against the Toupee, and the GOP in general. We also need a presidential administration who will get progress done. And since the human species has, at best, 30 years left before the majority of the world is uninhabitable, little baby steps won’t cut it.
So Harris and the Dems have a high bar. Because the alternative is fascism, or death by climate change.
A $10k emergency fund? Even banks don’t carry enough cash these days for a working class person to be able to rob a bank to have that kind of money.
That annoyed me to no end. I have to wonder about the big push in artificial sweeteners recently; are they cheaper than corn syrup now? Are there enough people who are trying to cut back on sugar but also actually like the taste of dissolved copper in their drinks to keep soda profits high?

I’ve had conversations with vegans, and when one said that honey isn’t vegan because it’s produced by an insect (they said animal, but that’s incorrect), I stopped pretending that (at least some) vegans have any logic to their arguments.
Of course it was all corporate pandering, but conservatives don’t even want that. Pandering means acknowledging minorities exist and God’s Own Party wants minorities to feel excluded, so they can be better exploited.
Since the first two have approximately 6.5 billion people playing them at any given time, I’d still call it a sea.
Of course it would, because the courts are run by the owner class. That doesn’t mean it isn’t the right thing to do.
Everyone is trying to find workers for the piss-poor wages that are being offered. Add in tip pools and positions being tipped that have no business being tipped and it couldn’t be further from a worker’s economy.
Not terribly difficult at all actually. You don’t get to own more than one residence. Legally. Anyone who does has two years to sell it. Anyone whose company exists to profit off of renting out residential housing has to liquidate all assets and use the funds to reimburse those they stole from.
Oh, you meant a difficult idea to sell to the owner class. Well yeah anything mildly progressive will be fiercely opposed by those who stand to be slightly less rich because of it.
Your options are tip well, or don’t eat out. It absolutely sucks that owners are making customers subsidize their employees’ wages, but by receiving the service you are expected to pay for the service. Tipping culture does suck. But it helps no one to tip poorly.
This is quickly becoming the norm in every industry. Every employer wants fewer employees to do more, without paying them more of course.
