He’s actually having a stroke
Sadly, you are speaking for a great many places. I’ve cycled in most of the countries I’ve visited and it can be relatively dangerous.
If people want to see how to integrate a public transport network with a cycle path network, places like Netherlands and Denmark are leading the way.
Over here in the UK we have one of the most regressive attitudes to sustainable transport in Europe. Our trains don’t work and cycling is barely tolerated.
Come back OG Jesus, all is forgiven.
I listen to the words and then arrange them into an order that doesn’t contradict my preconceived notion that Donald is the good one.
Does anyone take this verdict seriously? This is the same criminal justice system that locks up the poor, vulnerable and ethnic minorities. They have criminalised whistleblowers and other truth tellers. They are enslaving ordinary people. The laws they use are often racist. The CIA are assassinating people and subverting nation states with total impunity from this same criminal justice system.
As soon as some technology becomes so accessible that anyone can use it, the platform becomes populated by morons and it’s essence is diluted by all sorts of rules put in place so the morons can’t damage each other.
The shift in power from concentrated wealth has been happening for a long time. After the plagues of the 13th century there was a shortage of skilled labour which tipped the balance of power towards common people. This trend has continued despite the tendency towards concentration of wealth. Contemporary examples of this phenomena are the rise of tech workers and open source tools. The pushback from the wealthy class takes the form of closed and proprietary systems, such as Apple products. Whatever we can do as individuals to create open platforms such as Lemmy, Wikipedia and Linux are the way forward.
It’s almost as if rich people are the common denominator in this equation. Substitute this person into a new context and they find a way to exploit the game in that arena.
The answer lies in the hands of the people who make stuff. When we say we are not going to play this game any more rich people are forced to the negotiation table because they have no chance to make any of the stuff, their stock and trade is lies.
I suspected Debian users were soyboys and now I have the documents to prove it.
What is it when I feel your nipples?
I would imagine most of these remote interviews are just an initial conversation and an employer would insist on a formal interview in person if they have a policy on physical presence. My policy is to advance the requirement that there be hot chicks in the office if I need to be in that space.
Do you have excess creative energy?
Pour it into discussion that achieves nothing of value.
I would imagine it’s very difficult to make a universal architecture but if I have learnt anything about computers it’s that the manufacturers of software and hardware deliberately created opaque and monolithic systems, e.g. phones. They cynically insert barriers to their reuse and redeployment. There’s no profit motive for corporations to make infintitely scalable computers. Short sighted greed is a much more plausible explanation.
I like your comment and I was just trying to make a lame joke that obviously didn’t land. We rarely know who we’re talking to online. The joke could be on me.
We are locked into the big heavy vehicle paradigm. People have become so accustomed to moving around in a 2t vehicle they have forgotten about the alternatives. Lithium batteries are not a good fit for this type of vehicle and most of the time the use case is single occupant, where the bicycle is king of efficiency.
