Spoilers? Man I finished the game and I still have no idea what’s going on
Spoilers? Man I finished the game and I still have no idea what’s going on
Eternal is one of my favorite games of all time, and it has a massive leg up on this game. Firstly, it seemed like a complete surprise when it was announced. The gap between DOOM 3 and Eternal was like 16 years. It’s been 5 years since Eternal was announced, and 3 since it was released; I’m convinced passion projects are not released on timelines that coincide with shareholder expectations. Not to say Dark Ages can’t be good, but the second big red flag about this game is that now it’s owned by Microsoft and that’s it’s own can of worms.
There is absolutely nothing appealing about this to me. If I was at all interested in this 2 hour cutscene I’d just go watch a Fast and Furious movie for 10% of the price
I’d venture to say that ID has not yet released a bad DOOM game, however they did almost make Call of DOOM. Under Microsoft’s leadership I’d say they’re at risk of making the worst DOOM game ever, but we’ll have to wait and see
Inb4: all nostalgia hype, solid core gameplay, nothing new or groundbreaking, F2P multiplayer, battlepass grindfest. Bonus points if it’s an open world.
Microsoft has become all-too predictable and I have absolutely no faith that this game will be anything greater than Halo Infinite
I played the shit out of 2 as well. When 3 came along it had literally all of the improvements I wanted to see, and it felt so much better to boot, but the core gameplay had grown stale because of how much time I spent in the second
“We know everyone loves billionaires, so now there are a billion billion guns! And all the guns do over a billion damage!!” Idk why but I just get the sense they’ll make that kind of joke here
Guess I’ll add Nvidia drivers to the list of things holding me back lol
Maybe I’ll dual boot and keep all my HDR, Anti-cheat-riddled, and VR games on Windows and put everything else on Linux
Wow I never even thought to ask - does SteamVR work on Linux? Like the Valve Index in particular? I’ve been meaning to switch but Windows’ HDR support has been holding me back. If there isn’t a good distro for VR that could be another factor
I have no complaints about this game. Everytime I play it something puts a smile on my face. The details in every element are wonderful - the environments are gorgeous and interactive, the action figures are beautifully textured and animated, and the enemies are diverse in both appearance and behavior. The guns, tower defense tools, and platforming are all fun too. I really hope this Xbox release gives it a big playerbase boost. The devs have put so much love into it.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the lore of the Legend of Zelda change from game to game based on whatever flavor of knight-saves-princess story framing best suits the gameplay progression? How is this going to be a unique movie? Why does it benefit from the Zelda branding other than to generate franchise hype?
I’m pretty confident the slur-status of a word is closely rated to whether or not it is used in a hateful way to refer to a people group or member of a group that is in some way disadvantaged. For example the n-word is obviously a slur and “cracker” or “whitey” obviously are not. That’s why cisgender isn’t a slur, even if people can and have use(d) it in a hateful way.
Look, I love the idea of Linux but unless you have your head in the sand it’s obvious that Linux takes a good deal of technoliteracy to use.
I’ve managed to avoid spoilers this long for Spider-man 2. If Ragnarok is coming to PC then I’m pretty confident I can hold out until it comes to PC as well
I played God of War (2018) a few months ago without any more context than what is known about Kratos in the public eye. The 2018 remake does not tell you what Kratos did, but it shows you how it affects him. Flawlessly. This game nails the “show don’t tell” approach like so few do. If you like narrative driven games, or want a good modern story about a man trying to be a good father, or like well-designed action games, or like norse mythology, this game fucking rocks.
You’re thinking of the lesser-known holiday, Miracle Whip de Mayo
This isn’t flame bait. I honestly didn’t know. I’ve heard a mixture of confused ideas and wanted to see what people here thought.
Why can’t anyone here answer it? Shouldn’t it theoretically be transparent to at least some people in the US? Maybe it’s not but that sounds like a huge problem
