Of course he is, and just like Palpatine, he will attempt to create laws and organizations that benefit himself. Especially if he feels he can twist the existing ones to suit this purpose.

I’m not deluded or ignorant, I’m well aware such a thing wouldn’t stop the dictatorial asshat. I’m only pointing out that from a legal perspective, this wouldn’t be an “official and legal” order. Such a thing can already be said of many of the Executive Orders that have been proclaimed and signed. It’s a technicality, I know, but I’m just trying to point out another instance of the law being twisted and ignored rather then upheld.
Official = legal in this context, so if he where to try and declare war without Congress approving, it would not be an official act.
Yeah, if I recall the change was because so many people took them to arbitration at the same time that the cost wasn’t worth it, so they changed the policy to ‘local court’ to avoid the situation repeating while also sidestepping any large class action attempts.
I already communicate without speech, I’m doing it right now to someone I’ve never met and don’t know the identity of, who is receiving only the thoughts I wish to share. Why would I go beyond that?
Besides, I can also share thoughts with those I do know without speech. I text my wife when I don’t want the kids to hear our joke, I can even include pictures to get the message across if I don’t have the words.
Gooooood Morning Night City!
I love it! Predict that a large empire of equals will fall after 250 years.
Market myself as a powerful man of religion and/or magician, depending on the local vibe. Then use knowledge of science and tech to build myself a reclusive retreat where I can have regular baths and write books with predictions to mess with the world 650 years after I would die.
There shouldn’t need to be evidence of his innocence, there should need to be an overwhelming amount of evidence proving he’s guilty. That’s part of the foundation for justice that courts are meant to uphold.
Edit: mistype for spelling
Sounds like someone thinks there is only one choice, buy or don’t.
🏴☠️Harhar! 🏴☠️
My friends and family are feeling stirs of panic, and it has pushed many of us to start taking a more active role in making our voices heard. Letter campaigns to Congress, joining activist groups and participating in those groups, and a much higher level of alertness towards government action are just a few of the more obvious results and changes I’ve seen.
I fear that it won’t be enough, but with young kids in our household we are trying to do what we can in nonviolent ways. The risk of prison or worse would take a huge toll on the little ones.
Gross, it looks way too much like iOS for my taste. Glad I’m switching away from Google controlled android anyway, I’ll be customized back to the old stuff if I have to.
Well yes, but also no.
The term pupil is used to describe an area that exists inside a three dimensional space, the eye, and while that space may not have anything that reflects light, it does contain something. The surface of the eye, known as the lens, and the liquid or ‘jelly’ that is contained inside the eye. So that area that is light reflective material would include the whites and the iris, but the inside of the eye is not just empty space. If it was, your eye would collapse like an uninflated beach ball, and you wouldn’t see very much at all. Arguably the term pupil is used to refer to the non-reflective area of the eye bordered by the iris and containing the lens.
Don’t forget banning abortion and birth control through moral and legal processes. Time to give birth to the next generation of disposable exploitation.
Driver less cars, because cars in the US have less safety regulation and laws applying to them, so the US is likely to continue trying to make them a working technology. Planes already have alot of automation, but law requires a human pilot with alot of training.
The San Francisco medical examiner's office determined his death to be suicide and police found no evidence of foul play.
Does anyone else find it statistically significant how often whistle blowers commit suicide within a few days of releasing information or making a statement?
Oh sweet, man-made horror beyond my compression
This is plainly insane.
The Flying Spaghetti Monster has decreed to me that VPN use is totally cool and his worshipers should feel ok using them. 🍝
Yup. It was designed as a troll to get sword geeks to comment about the inconsistency and then call them out on it.
