As extra context, the current governor, Roy Cooper, dropped out as a VP contender for Kamala because he was worried that this dipshit would seize power if he left the state.

Really, I look forward to him leaving this plane of existence so we don’t have to hear about him and whatever diarrhea comes out of his stupid mouth.
I always hear that excuse about the rural areas not being represented without the electoral college, but my only reaction is GOOD. Rural areas are large in land ans small in people. Why should they get an equal voice as a Metropolitan area with the majority of people? A government is supposed to reflect the will of the people. The not ALL the people, that would be impossible, but but an average of the majority of the people.
Additionally, the government at the federal level has relatively minor impact at the local level. The federal level is broad strokes, the local government is fine strokes, and the state level is somewhere in between. Rural dwellers can run their local government however they like as long as it doesn’t violate state or federal laws.
I dislike people enough in my day to day life. Why would I want them in my video games?
Considering it’s Texas, I’m surprised they didn’t give him a medal. Oh, wait, he’s black, that explains it.
Good thing the world didn’t lose anything valuable.
Thank you for being more articulate in your explanation of the age issue than I was. I agree whole heartedly. 64-65 is retirement age, I like to see presidents that are experienced but not at what would normally be the end of their working years.
Personally, I’d like to see a max cap for ALL elected officials at 70.
Old, yes, they are both old. Not elderly, but old. The minimum age for a present is 35. I would very much like to start seeing younger presidents that will be more in touch with what current issues really are and can energize a younger generation of voters.
And yes that was exactly my point on having a white man as an anchor.
It is obviously a cycle we need to break. That said, a campaign has to make choices that lead to victory. Kamala is already a person of color and a woman. If she wins, it would be only the second time to have a non-white President and the first woman.
The fact is that while many us are hungry for change to the old norms, many will be more conservative to change (and I don’t mean in the crazy MAGA way). Having an old white guy on the ticket acts as an anchor for those who are too scared to fully jump into all out change, ensuring that those votes aren’t lost to the other side.
In a written statement to the police, she has alleged that her husband “chained her and left her in the forest to die without food or water”.
Hey, look at that, “mystery” solved within four paragraphs.
Plus it is recycled. They would only replace what is lost due to evaporation or after a drain and cleaning.
My preference would be for them to flip the ticket. Put Kamala as first and him as vice. I don’t really care for her, but it would be worlds better than another Trump reign of terror. Flipping the ticket would be the least destabilizing move and would appease the concerns of age while also keeping him on for those that didn’t like her (or a woman).
Jokes on them, Pikachu would probably like being taxed.
Shocked Pikachu
Kind of makes you wonder who she fucked to pass law school, huh? She seems to be genuinely dumb as a box of rocks.
Yeah, that was Johnson’s failure.
It is NOT a good idea, it is NEVER a good idea. However, in order to avoid it, both sides would have to be willing to talk to each other, in good faith, and work out an agreeable way forward. That is what we used to do. We have always been a divided country, but when it mattered both side could usually work out a mutually agreeable resolution. That has stopped. So, we are divided and continuing to split further and no one will work together. What is the resolution? I don’t see a good one any time in the near future.
I was looking at those numbers too. And if you compare Trump’s 24 numbers to 2020, he lost about 4M votes this time. So it’s not like the 20M from Biden voted for Trump this time, they just didn’t vote.
20 million people are going to be the reason for the death of Democracy.
Assholes.
