Nah it makes sense
Criticism and hate are two different things. I hate windows, I can criticise parts of arch Linux which is so far my favourite OS. Me not liking part of it or the way it works doesn’t mean there’s another version that is completely perfect and I should just shut up and use that. Also no it doesn’t suck, but updating my system and having it break is a problem I should not be having.
But if lots of people use it wrong and break it then maybe it’s too obtuse. I broke one of my applications by upgrading packages. The solution? Install the package again, I thought the package manager would take care of stuff like that but if it’s meant to be me then I think it’s a bad system.
I broke my install by updating it, I get that if you perfectly understand what’s going on then it has no bugs but that’s really not my experience. A lot of the time something will break and it’s easy to say “I should’ve known it was this so it’s my fault” but really if you didn’t expect it to work a certain way and it breaks it’s not a super stable system.
Even my dad couldn’t convince me to read snowcrash😅 but maybe I’ll find it as an ebook
Nah genetic disorders aren’t mutations, they’re incorrect copies of original traits. I’m not a geneticist so don’t quote me on this, but the reason incest causes problems has nothing to do with mutations as they rarely happen and everything to do with not having enough variation in your own genetics to cover when there’s “data loss”. Again, I’m not a scientist.
I meant my friend has a 30 series card, I should’ve been more clear on that.
Damn that’s terrible, I was gonna borrow my mate’s card to do some encoding but now I guess that won’t work.
Yeah as I said take what I said with a massive grain of salt, some people are saying it’s because of a limit of hdmi data sending so it could be that.
I really get it man, I was originally not gonna take the offer (it was a take it or leave it, not a situation I could sell it) since I love all the open systems android uses. Unfortunately, I’ve been buying androids for the vast majority of my life and they just haven’t been that usable for me. It’s not like I’m giving money to apple anyway since I’m not buying anything from them and I would really benefit from 3rd party apps since I used to use them on a daily basis on my android.
Me neither to be honest, 24 is kind of a weird number when added up.
I agree but it’s very unfortunate considering graphics cards are so expensive to replace nowadays so if you already have an Nvidia card then you’re kinda screwed.
I found people online saying it’s because it’s 24 frames (standard frame rate) higher than 120 meaning it can be used to watch movies using integer scaling (1:6 ratio of frame rate rather than 1:5.5 or something strange), take that with a massive grain of salt though because lots of people say there’s other reasons.
I got given an iPhone, owning a branded product isn’t as much of a choice as you’d think. And it really doesn’t change anything for you since you’d have to actively go out of your way normally to use a 3rd party app store. The walled garden is still there unless you go exploring.
I would be incredibly surprised if gen z have problems reading since they read a lot more than any other generation due to the internet. Also I don’t think there is a real test for critical thinking in general, especially not one that factors in age.
I think all the proposed medication to slow aging is cheap. Although I can unfortunately imagine some horrible world where the prices go up just because people want it and the patent stops other companies making it. (Can we just like not have patents last longer than 5 years)
This is actually a really interesting question, personally never. Not like heat death of the universe never but I don’t feel like there’s a point in theoretical forever young immortality where I would want to die, there’s always more shit to do and I’ve never felt like I need to up my game or something. I’m curious what you guys think though
Happened to me once so I guess it’s not as weird as I thought.
As everyone has said, lossless compression might not have great ratios, but if it’s still worth it I recommend dwarfs as it creates read only mountable filesystems with minimal setup https://github.com/mhx/dwarfs
