I mean psychologist or not, you can argue it til you’re blue in the face but tests measure aptitude, there’s a reason the entire world uses them. Saying someone is “good at tests but not good at the thing” is just a lazy argument.

Temperature measures heat, which is one of many indicators of how it’ll feel outside. IQ tests measure “reasoning/problem solving, memory, pattern recognition, and information processing speed.” As a psychologist you know that already!
