Steam does have a monopoly though. They don’t do anything anti-competitive with it, so there is not much Epic can do about it (other than make their platform better for the people using it).

Google decided that the entirety of reddit is perfect for training data in their AI LLM. People’s shitposts from 10 years ago have now been given the spotlight at the top of google searches.
I saw a Ocarina of Time one a while back. There is also some tool that can link randomizers of different games togther.
Same here. I have yet to experience any issues on firefox+ublock, newpipe, or revanced.
No, it does not access your account at all and stores subscribed channels locally within the app. But there might be a way to transfer your subscriptions over if you can find a way to export them from your youtube account.
Making it easier is not the problem. The problem is having the search function actually find the messages you are looking for. The biggest problem I have with it is that word order matters too much. “Keyword1 keyword2” will find different messages than “keyword2 keyword1”. Not only that, but it will also search for different variations of the word with no way of preventing it from doing it. If there is a solution for these problems, then no one is taking about it.
Until discord makes their search bearable to use, I would still rather use an actual forum over discord. It’s so irritating when I have to perform multiple searches to look up conversations people had on a topic because the stupid search function takes word order into consideration for what messages to show you. And since discord servers aren’t open to search engines, those can’t be used to alleviate that issue.
Same, hearing about all the changes that Microsoft tried to push into Win11 was what convinced me that I needed to switch.
I’ve heard a lot of talk in the linux community about linux mint being a good beginner distro.
HotS is the only MOBA I actually enjoyed playing.
There is a whole list of drm-free games that will work without the launcher or with instructions on how to make them run without the launcher. If a game makes use of Steam’s APIs, it won’t run without proper authentication when opened with the launcher even if it is drm-free. You would need to launch it directly from the game’s files in that case.
There are examples of subtle difficulty shifts too, such as RE4. The game will spawn more/less enemies and change drop rates based on player performance.
If you don’t rock and stone, you ain’t coming home.
Yup. I last updated a month or 2 ago and it works perfectly fine still.
Same. I’ve been using youtube almost daily both on firefox (with ublock) and android (revanced) and haven’t seen any notification to turn off adblocker.
Assuming ios has the same extensions as android, I recommend ublock origin. Used it for years on both PC and android with hardly any issues.
I use that everytime I go to uninstall something. You can configure it to scan your system registry and local files for residual files that the software’s uninstaller won’t remove.
Endeavour also gives DE options during installation.
