  • Yes. Just yes ahah

I switched to linux on my laptop i had to do 4 reinstall to get my nvidia gpu to work and as of late my speaker arent recognised anymore, despite reinstaling pulse and alsa. One of my informatitian friend that has a linux laptop had gpu issue too, the laptop at work need frequent overseeing by the it to work properly etc etc…

I love linux and I truly think we NEED to get our hands back on our tech, and understand better the technology we use, but yeah… If you really need your laptop to be fully operational quickly and you’re not tech savvy well think twice…

  • Best way would be to subdivide the rear to connect the loose vertices, quick way would be to just triangulate it. But beware depending on where you use it you may have some normals artefacts always good to have a good topo regardless of what you do, if this surface is supposed to be hard add contention edges.

(I’m more from the vfx side of 3d so perhaps i’m too rigorous but what is still relevant regardless)

  • This is a tough one but I think your answer would obviously be geometry nodes, I don’t gave access to a computer but if I remeber well there’s a text node and you can inpu a string if you manage to get an array(dictionary) out of your file with all the names you can then with the index of your scatter point get the corresponding entry of your array. This is the general idea of I’d do it but I may mix element from different software :x I don’t know if you can for each on geometry nodes.

An other option would be to create a python script and chat gpt may help you with that.

    Good luck !
