In my opinion, Foddians are best described as games that require you to learn a skill while testing your patience. Some involve some kind of platforming challenge, that can feel punishing, as a small mistake can cost you a chunk of progress.

I don’t think calling them “bad on purpose” with crappy controls is very fair, as Getting Over It, Jump King, and A Difficult Game About Climbing, to name just a few, are all extremely well polished games.

I’m not new to Lemmy per se, but I am new to posting here, so I didn’t really know exactly how things were going to display, especially with the automatic embeds that lots of social media sites do these days. We literally can’t all switch to electric right now so that’s not a problem 😉 but yeah, if I do try to imagine it, I imagine a world where most people charge their cars at home or at work, so the only problem to solve is upping the charging capacity along certain long distance tourist routes. But we can build lots of lovely high speed rail to help decongest those routes 😋

I bought a Oneplus One (300 €) and kept it for 5 years, then a Samsung S10e (475 €) and still have it now, so going to be 5 years soon too.

I know right! I keep wishing all software would adopt some of it’s amazing features, like hover copy-pasting, being able to right-click any button/option to set a custom keyboard shortcut for it, being able to type maths into any numerical field, etc.
