So am not a Garmin user (Apple) but for years now I will regularly wash my band with soap and water and regularly wipe the back of the face (the sensor part that comes in contact with your skin) with a cloth soaked lightly in alcohol.

If I am doing some outdoor work or a lot of exercise then I will always do this as well afterwards. My wife ran into some issues with her wrists after getting hers where she developed a rash and found that regularly cleaning of the watch - both band and the sensor area stopped this from happening.

Yeah same here. I’ve ditched all social media now except Lemmy and for that I have only a handful of favorite subs I like to read.

But I use my phone for photos, music, email and wallet. Occasionally maps if in a pinch.

More than likely the reason for this is because they are not sending the original device back.

They are probably pulling a used one that is in good shape from the shelf that is the same style, etc - shipping it to you as the replacement in order to save time and sending yours back to a repair center to be worked on if possible.

Or just junking it out right.

I have family that live there now. All I hear from them anytime we talk or visit is how bad Ballad is since they took over the local hospital systems.

Interesting, so I tried looking at some of these on the app and am getting a black screen too.

If I click on the source (copy the link) and go to a browser it opens fine.

Am using iOS - and running it thru a VPN. I tried clearing the cache, making sure I had the latest update, etc. it still gives me a black screen. Don’t think it is just OP.

My parents still live in this area and have emailed me non stop about this since the beginning.

They live in a county that HAD two large hospitals. Both got absorbed by this cancer. One got shutdown.

All their ‘old’ reputable doctors took retirement when Ballad took over. Any younger doctors were forced to join Ballad or GTFO of town. Ballad had not only a monopoly on the heath care but if you were in any sort of field related (say you were an eye doctor) and you had your own practice but you occasionally went to the hospital to see patients - you were no longer allowed in the hospital unless you joined Ballad.

Basically you were blackmailed to joined these assholes or else. I found this out from some friends who stayed in the area and joined the medical field.

Seriously, the fact TN allowed this shit to pass just irritants me to no end.

I’m perfectly fine with the fuck China mentality but the US needs to get over the fuck the consumer / fuck its citizen mentality. Much of that is driven too often by our politicians who are getting their pockets greased by these asshole corporations.
