Up until 2019, fentanyl could be bought by just typing it into chinese onlineshops. Since then, China is not diverting the course of being the worlds 1# fentanyl producer and the #1 outlet market is still the USA. But China can not send it straight to the US anymore but is bringing it to mexico and using the already active routes to swamp the US with that deadly drug. The China-Iran-Russia connection would do anything to weaken the west. This is just one of their operations. The british addicting hundred of thousands chinese with opium 200 years ago in the 1830s is still a very big ignominy in chinas victim narrative (Century of Humiliation). Applying this scheme back to “the west” is their tit-for-tat response to pay back. Chinese ambassadors and cultural attaché mention it all the time in interviews in the last 20 years.
423·2 months agoDisgusting. How was the merger of Facebook and Whatsapp allowed in the first place is beyond me. FB Messenger and WhatsApp are the most popular messenger services in the western world and are coming from the same company. The illusion of choice.

I think he will not go to jail. And I do be not mean it like „buh, American system bad, they will never do it“, i mean it as in: they will put him on house arrest. Normal cloth. Normal food. Security at the door. If he continues to break the gag order and we reach contempt No. 20 then maybe (maybe!) we see him in an actual jail. Not before.

3·8 months agoHow do you solve the discoverability issue? A platform gives you some place where people could stumble upon you, while a website is an island in the middle of an ocean that people have to actively browse to. Do you crosspost your new work now more to get the word seen by others? I find it hard to believe that people would like to browse to x different websites to see if an artist has new works, only to find out that they don’t. For finding new artist a central place or a feed, like a platform can provide, seems to be nearly impossible to replace.

L2 it’s one year old. A study like that takes time. What is your point? I bet if they would do it with L3 and the result came back similar, you would say L3 is „insanely outdaded“ as well?
Can you confirm that you think with L3, the result would look completely opposite and the summaries of the AI would always beat the human summaries? Because it sounds like you are implying that.
