Nice, glad you got your icon in the end.

Honestly, it’s probably just the way firefox handles PWAs. The overall experience on Firefox is not as good. Personally, I’m using edge. But when I tried Firefox a couple weeks ago with Voyager, it wasn’t great. There was a whole thread about it, if I can find it I’ll link it.
If you click on the three dots button on whichever post you’re trying to view, there is an option to unhide it.
However, I’ve not seen a way to unhide everything at once if that’s what you’re looking for.
Go to your profile, there’s a section for hidden posts. You can unhide them from there.
I’ve always found them from the browser. Some have popped up on my “All” feed in app. I haven’t personally searched on the voyager app so I can’t speak to that. But the browser indeed works as you described.
Yes you can. Same as you do any other community. Find the one you want to sub to, hit the three buttons in the top right corner, subscribe.
I’m using edge and this issue doesn’t happen for me.
What platform are you on and do you have any other browsers installed?
For me for example, I’m on android and I disabled chrome after installing edge, so everything stays in edge. Not sure if this is necessarily your issue, but maybe something to verify?
I can’t say for certain what it is, but it happens to me from time to time when I’m on on my Lemmy world account, but I’ve never seen it on my lemdroid account.
Maybe it’s a disconnect with the server? Have you seen them before and they’re gone now? Or is it intermittent?
Maybe sign out and back in? That’s done it for me.
No problem! Yeah, I did that same thing right after it got added. So thankful for that option.
You’re welcome!
No problem!

I’m using edge and it’s working great. I used firefox for a little bit, it seemed ok when I used it, though a little slower. That was not long term though.
I believe that’s it. That’s what I noticed when it happened to first time is that I was replying in a kbin instance.
I had to go back to my home instance on my desktop, go to account settings, choose my language.
Then went to the post I was trying to comment on, it asked me before I posted to pick a language, choose the one you picked for your profile.
Then I was able to use voyager again with no issues.
Edit: while trying to post this comment, I had to do it again. Weird.
Sorting by new works pretty well for me. There’s still the couple of them showing up, but there’s a lot more variety to what I see that way.
This here. I subbed to a community here that was a bot bringing over posts from the steam deck subreddit. After not being on Reddit for a while and realizing how many people it is just posting a picture of the steam deck, I immediately unsubscribed.
Unless the bot is smart enough to parse out all of the useless fluff, there isn’t a point. The useful posts are so far and few in-between these days. I’m happy to be here now where the posts have quality to them.
Yes please. I just discovered today that I couldn’t do it. Then proceeded to dig for an old post for 15 minutes. Please let us search by up and down vote and saved posts.
Thanks for all the work that you do! Voyager is a fantastic app.
Another thought, if it’s feasible, maybe also post the apk releases on GitHub? So people have the option to download from there directly or use an app like obtanium to grab it from GitHub.
