TIL, he’s still well appreciated in the spin-offs. But a lot of those are pretty old games by now, it’d be nice to see him as well as any other favourites in a mainline Mario game.

I never understood why they never brought him back, it made a ton of sense for Peach to have a dedicated butler and for him to be in charge of the other Toads. But he was just a one-off character forever doomed because Nintendo hates the GameCube.

Deep Rock Galactic, play solo on the lower difficulties and just vibe and mine. Bosco the robot that follows you on solo missions can kill pretty much everything for you most of the time, or you can have it do the mining and tasks while you shoot everything in sight.

The Atomic Purple GameBoy exists because of the N64, the controllers came out with the console in 1996, meanwhile the GameBoy Color launched in 1998.

I just recently bought one (and a DSi XL for that matter) and I’m not surprised. 3rd party parts for Nintendo products are usually pretty available so unless your device is experiencing something catastrophic, repairing it shouldn’t be an issue even several years from now.

I was aware it was a pre-existing term, but it’s seeing a bit of resurgence, even in music, presumably because the younger generations think they’re inventing things left and right.

-Core is the new term for just aesthetics, and I think that’s much more fitting over punk. Though in the case of steampunk, it’s one of the oldest -punks so getting people to swap over to steamcore or something would probably be met with a lot of opposition.

Blue Protocol is an MMO, with MMO gameplay and design philosophy that just happens to have a cel shaded anime aesthetic which has existed loooooooong before Genshin somehow ‘monopolised’ the style. Meanwhile Genshin is a mostly single player experience with some online elements. Look at your apples before you start calling them oranges.

If anything, the article talks about the developers being surprised at how much of a casual audience the game attracted and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the exact same people that are comparing it to Genshin somehow thought they’d get the same experience out of a grindy MMO.
