Lots of childish adults out there
thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try
right clicking and saving it is not an option
Unpaid group mods have become little dictators who get off fucking with commentors and posters that don’t completely conform with every opinion held by the mod
I use Chrome. I know how to delete all the reddit cookies in Chrome. If I do would I be able to register a new account?
One suggestion to increase participation on Lemmy of those already here is to encourage people to spend some time just looking at the “all new posts” feed. I look at it a few times per day and was surprised at the number of Lemmy groups that I never knew existed. There are far to many groups here that started out good and just faded away. If it’s an interest of yours post there and try to rejuvenate the group. Message the existing moderator if you can be added as a mod for that group.
For a low IQ technology person like me, could you explain what you mean. I know what a cookie is but don’t understand how reddit would use them to some how think multiple accounts are linked.
I have been told by long time reddit users like you that in the past you could make an appeal that would actually be considered. But now it seems that “appeals” are just automatically deleted with no Admin ever even looking at them. In your case you were making a joke and not actually calling for violence. You should have been able to say “I apologize, I was joking” and then maybe be banned for a week or a month. Ironically as traditional media is shrinking and social media platforms are growing but reddit has no problem banning many of their long term users.
excellent list. Not on the list but really enjoyed was a movie with Kurt Russel “Touchback”. But more time travel vs time loop
You make an excellent point. Years ago you could actually appeal a subreddit ban or even an Admin total ban from reddit. They still have an “appeal” process but it seems like their new policy is once you are banned that’s it. They have no interest in listening to a logical explanation… They are also checking your past posts and comments history. Got banned recently from a group NOT because of anything I posted or commented on but because I had posted something in another group that they didn’t like. Fuck all of them over there.
I wonder where they are getting the money for weapons. I thought there were economic sanctions imposed on them. Or did I miss something and were they lifted?
I don’t know what you are talking about. I have stated that I am still banned at reddit. No one let me back and I believe that their appeal process is now automated. So in effect you can never actually make a case as to why you should be reinstated.
Weren’t you banned from Lemm.ee for posting scat porn in a tech community and dumping a bunch of comments in an Autism community calling them the R word? You ran the conservativememes2 community too.
I did NONE of those things. I have never posted any kind of porn anywhere and never would.
I have a nephew who is autistic and will scream out at anyone who refers to those afflicted with that condition as retarded.
When I moderated groups at reddit I would ban those who wished me dead or called for violence against me. Do you think that was OK?
Yeah I have live YouTube TV and they no longer offer the MLB channel. I had got comfortable with You Tube in general because for years I have been watching the regular YouTube and I am paying for Premium, so there are no commercials. The only ads that you have to fast forward through are the ones embedded in the videos by the creators. The billing for both regular YouTube Premium and their TV product is smooth and hassle free. I have never sampled Plex or Hulu and just was wondering how they compare with the YouTube TV product. Regular Youtube has an MLB channel that I am subscribed to. They have game highlights.
LOL. I never once called for violence. I am not white and not a racist. And I never even called another poster an asshole. My thing was always lets have a civil discussion. And I guess my point is that all the things that we both would agree on that should cause a ban did not apply to me.
I’m coming from Comcast cable. I choose YouTube TV and miss the MLB channel. Not the full slate of games. Just the MLB channel. Does Hulu have it?
It’s been a year since this happened. I honestly don’t remember, but I think it was a comment. A comment where I was paraphrasing a point made in a published news article. Apparently just mentioning something that others didn’t “like” was enough to piss people off.
good point that I didn’t consider. why go through the hassle if based on prior experience it would probably happen again.
If we can agree that all “news” sites slant to the right or the left. Then you should check out the story at a few of both leaning sites.
