They used to be better. Or at least, the thermos were. I got a modern stanley thermos, from 2020. Holds temp fairly well, but not great. Hot coffee brewed fresh in the morning turns lukewarm by night. Ice cold water turns room temp in a day (no idea why that is).

A girl I used to date still had her father’s stanley thermos from the 70s-80s. That fucker could hold temp for ages. Apparently the company got bought out, and replaced the graphite lining with air. Or something like that.

Still, miles better than anything I can get locally.

It still is a little lib-ish. The game goes to great lengths at showing Silverhand (and anyone blaming capitalism) as being a bit too harsh or off their rocker, with V explicitly mocking his leftist opinions in dialogue many times (replaying the game, once during an elevator ride, another after dealing with the chapel in pacifica). The game is very on the nose about blaming corporations but spares the rod when talking about the system.

It’s so great. One time, I threw a bin at a bar’s window and the next time I came around, it had been covered in plywood.

The game feels responsive, it just needs a bit more variety in cases, mod support would be great, too.

Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. If you were too lazy to trek back to Cordon after deactivating the miracle machine (I think), you couldn’t get the true ending without abusing glitches and bugs.

The people will find out, the fucks actually responsible for this will get the best treatments possible world wide.

I don’t expect any other crpg to take a swing at BG3’s presentation in a very long time, honestly. Don’t need fancy graphics. Would it be a better introduction to someone looking into getting into dnd? Might be running a one shot soon, my first one.

Off topic, how’s Solasta? Halfway through my second playthrough of BG3, and looking for another crpg. I’m not new to the genre (played wasteland 2-3, PoE: DF and D2OS previously), but new to DnD.

On topic: I don’t know if I need it, honestly. I feel like I would appreciate knowing distances and where exactly my character will stand according to a grid, but I haven’t found it to be very necessary.
