I went down the Pi 4B with Kodi path. It wasn’t very reliable. It was just sometimes when I went to watch something, it just was broken. And I had to go through troubleshooting instead of watching whatever I had turned it on for.

I ended up with an Amazon firestick. Even using Kodi (and smarttube) on that works faster and more reliably.

But then I have the Amazon firestick nosing around in everything I do lol. But I did disconnect my TV from the internet…

I avoid Sony altogether nowadays.

They pulled linux off the PS3. Then years later I bought a Sony XZ Premium phone and they removed screen sharing Miracast from that.

Fooled me twice. No more shame on me.

I.d rather take any website than being continuously forced to download apps, or being told to go to Facebook for some business’s information.

There’s 2 things a website should respect - simple do it more often -, and not doing these will earn you my wrath:

• you should be able to at least zoom/shrink text. Some websites have things so locked down, I can never read their teeny tiny text. Fuck you ESPN. Why would you let desktop zoom, and stop it on mobile where my screen is smaller and I most need it? (I’ll leave alone the original intent of the web of separating presentation from content for another day).
• Browser Back button should take you back to the previius ‘page’. I’m terrified to use it because you’re really showing multiple ‘pages’ on 1 real page, so who knows where I’ll end up.

I had a work colleague who had a spreadsheet with one column calculating something to do with a particular date. They didn’t have any formulas at all. For any calculations. They would go in each day and manually calculate and then type in the values. In every cell.

I put in an input cell date, and simplest of formulas in 3 cells, and they looked at me like I was some kind of wizard.

I returned to my desk, put my head in my hands in sheer shock. I still don’t understand what they thought a spreadsheet was for…It made.nice columns?

Anyways, when I recovered, I finished my resignation letter,.and that was the best thing I ever did in that particular cesspool 😁
