Are you a bot? 🤔
He/him/they
Just a little guy interested in videogames, reading, technology and the environment.
I’m on Telegram - feel free to ask for my details :3

Are you a bot? 🤔
Lmao that’s amazing. If I were that person I’d had found it funny. Hopefully it’s not too embarrassing a memory for you!
That’s fascinating. Does an animal finding an item they buried a week ago not constitute an episodic memory? Considering they’d basically have to retrace their steps. Is ‘remembering the relevant information’ not akin to memory of an event?
Couldn’t you ask them to give you gift cards for places you might visit?
I think it’s mostly social convention - i.e. sometimes it’s not the ‘done thing’ to give someone money as it shows a lack of thoughtfulness perhaps. Gift cards are stopgap that make it look like you’ve put some effort into a gift.
Yes that’s a good point, we need the early adopters to buy the games when they come out so companies can make their money. But still… in terms of pre-orders why not just wait until it’s been released and see what reviews are like first? 🤔
I think you’re taking the meaning too far. It’s not that someone in a bad position is not allowed to feel bad. Rather, you have to consider the context in each case. A friend could be having a hard time, and even if your situation is technically worse, that doesn’t invalidate theirs. Because if you are willing to invalidate your friend’s difficulties, by that same token you could say your own are invalidated by those in an even worse position than yours.
Essentially I’m saying that everyone’s life is different and their worries are valid. Yes, perhaps it can be a touch tone-deaf for one person in a privileged position to complain about something relatively trivial. But for someone to assert that their situation is infinitely more important, and that their friend shouldn’t be allowed to complain about their own experiences… it reeks of envy and narcissism.
Good dopamine I guess, and I’ve found the collection side of things to be fun. But I could never understand why someone would spend £18.49 (!!) to get a ‘rare’ card that doesn’t really exist. I’d never spend any money on this game.
Damn that was excellent, great points from Cowboy.
Perfectly sums up this whole, sad phenomenon of people getting angry about nothing.
It’s so weird. Because it has a black protagonist and isn’t ‘historically accurate’? In a game series in which a fictional secret society of assassins controls the world?
I’ve seen some hate on Lemmy too. Is there a legit reason to hate Ubisoft or is it mostly just terminally online losers scared of ‘wokeness’?
I’m out of the loop here - why is this game getting so much hate? Reviews seem ok?
Glad to see this game mentioned! I played it last year and it was pure fun throughout. Super charming
Do 4D beings have 3D puzzles that would have the same issue for us? 🤔
Oh I missed that! But wait, where you can buy half an avocado? Why would you only want half?
Ah no, I’ve seen the logo before and there’s a report about it here: https://www.msc.org/docs/default-source/uk-files/msc-uk-tuna-shopper-report-2023.pdf?sfvrsn=5309aa2f_7
That’s really insightful, thanks!
Interesting, I suppose a single fish then would generally be shared by a single ‘community’ around whichever store sold those cans. But other fish caught at the same time could potentially be sent to another country entirely.
In terms of waste, I meant more at the consumer level. Seeing as cans last such a long time I’m guessing the wastage would be a lot lower than other more perishable foods…
Hmm looking at the can I got from Aldi in the UK, it says ‘responsibly sourced’ (whatever that means) but doesn’t have an MSC certification. I’ll see if I can find cans that do in future!
This video seems to suggest that quite a lot of the process is manual: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mt3SbqYAbf4
People deboning, sorting it and so on. It’s not entirely clear but yeah they seem to load hunks of meat in which I guess a machine then places into cans.
Hhhhmmm my initial assumption was that the cells in your donated testicles would eventually be replaced by those with the host’s DNA. But apparently I’m wrong - after transplants you have to take immunosuppressants because the donated organs stay genetically foreign for the rest of your life. So yes, it seems like the sperm would carry your genes.
