I like using both
omg I have one of those too! it doesn’t get much use because it’s… well you have one
that’s a good point! one day I’ll get around to making a proper backup
I do have a backup! I just use 4 HDD in raid 1, two separate data pools. so far works great, I’d love to upgrade them from 8tb to 16th one day but for my needs I’m ok for now
you know where shows and movies never get deleted from? my home server 🏴☠️
man you weren’t kidding hahah. I appreciate everyone’s replies but I’ll definitely just leave Mint on there for now. I didn’t get past the install process when it asked about connecting to a Wi-Fi network. I did some commands but couldn’t find any networks, I think maybe a driver issue with my Wi-Fi adapter? ohh well
I still have the USB install drive if I’m feeling adventurous! and you’d be correct, I have little knowledge of Linux, I’ve only messed with a few simple distros like PopOS, Ubuntu, Mint, and another one I’m forgetting. I can’t even get Steam to start up on my Mint distro haha
alright, time to wipe my Mint test/fun build and try out Arch. I don’t do much with Linux but it’s gonna be fun getting back into it. Who doesn’t love the smell of a fresh OS install
last time I was messing around with Linux on a second machine I think I installed Mint. it was fine 🤷🏻♂️
good thing I use redacted in Firefox and apps that are cracked like redacted
Oh shit thank you!
*dicless
ps6 gonna be discless
my friends play it.
so instead of calling people smooth brains we call them plastic brains. unless the plastic is the reason they’re smooth 🤔
at some point “retro” consoles got popular on GameStops website and I invested in a Dreamcast, 3 controllers, and memory cards. it was all under around $80. so god damn worth it since I can just “find” games online for it. I didn’t grow up with it but it’s definitely been a fun console
why do I feel like this about the new ad block policy stuff
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I can enable some TMP in my bios to give me “windows 11 compatibility” but I have no reason to do so. If I could chill on Windows 7 forever I would
because it was super duper easy to setup and the overhead isn’t all that bad for my use case. I am concerned whenever I decide to move/upgrade to something different since my hard drives are in a Windows “Storage pool” or whatever it’s called
I’ve heard great things about Free NAS. would unraid be similar to that?
for my main computer, sure, fine, whatever. I’ll sign into my Microsoft account, I don’t mind. but my Plex/Minecraft server… maaaaaaannnn come the fuck on. I guess my server can just stay windows 10 for the next 20 years 🤷🏻♂️
big Pete why are you so BIG
