Elmo has claimed to be autistic at multiple points. Most recently to my knowledge, to try and excuse his nazi salute.

So when RFK was drooling droning on about how terrible autism is, and how autistic people can’t use the restroom unassisted, by extension he was saying Musk can’t have a solo bathroom experience.

Everyone, everywhere, has a duty to stop fascism and help their fellow man, regardless of what ultimately insignificant speck of a human decided to put a line on a map.

This is such a weird comment, full of “NiCd batteries aren’t good enough so solar/wind are useless because we can’t store the power” energy.

It’s a test reactor, it’s meant to be smaller than the “big boys”, and in a few years it’ll be smaller and more efficient.

Sure, it’s not going to singlehandedly power an entire country, but distributed power is better than localized. 1000 small reactors placed all over means less likelihood of system wide failure than a handful of large ones.

I recently watched a 3d video in a small theater about dinosaurs, and in the video we follow a T-Rex mother from her first eggs to death, including a fight with another dinosaur that ends up crippling a leg, and then the last few shots of her are limping toward carrion to survive a little longer, and then dead in a creek bed and I legitimately almost walked out of the little theater we were in.

I may have smoked a little before going in, so I may have been a little more emotional than usual. But still.

In Ohio? I’m almost positive it isn’t legal. It’s definitely illegal in states like California. But they’re banking on nobody recording their interview audio (which I will now be doing as Ohio is single-party state) and nobody complaining if asked.

I doubt it’s a company policy, but I did send an email to their company offices to complain about it, for all the good it will do.

Not programming, but in the same vein, A Trek Bicycle store manager asked me in an interview if I would be willing to work a trial shift the next day building bicycles. Unpaid, of course. Just to see if I was a good fit.

Of course, since I was used to building 50 a day, I would have gotten all of them done in a single shift whereas they were needing to call in stores from surrounding areas to come help in a few days.

I laughed and said if they needed help tomorrow I would be happy to work for my usual fee of $20/bike.

Oddly, I did not get the job

If they all got their proper iron necktie, French revolution style, the only time they would be discussed is when you read another report that the lasting damage they caused has been repaired and the systems they tried to eradicate have been restored.

Well, I’m not a primary target, but if I see someone rolling up on my street trying to force people into a vehicle against their will, I’m definitely grabbing my rifle and preventing a kidnapping.

They may not be coming for me yet, but I sure as fuck am not waiting until they do.

Honestly I think they’re just waiting for people to fight back so they can justify lethal force from then on, “as a precaution”

It happens. I’ve definitely read a sentence, took it the wrong way, and only after rereading it later on (usually when someone responds to my comment) that I was incorrect.

I don’t see anyone shitting on younger generations.

All I see is someone expressing what many in the younger generation are feeling. Like everything the older generations faced is happening again. Like the world is on fire and everyone is pretending it’s fine. And they’re wondering why nobody is as concerned as they are.

In other words, “WTAF is going on?!?!”

I know for a fact I’m opinionated, and don’t have problems sharing them.

Please, by all means, block me if you think seeing my comments is adversely affecting you. I’d rather be ignored by someone than make their day worse (unless they’re actively trying to make others miserable, but that’s a separate discussion)

The fediverse has definitely gotten a little less hostile after blocking a few things.

And remember you can jump ship to another instance at any time! I’ve hopped a few times but for now my instance is filling my needs without much drama that I am aware of.

At this point, “university is in the US” would do it.

And with all fads, it’s cyclical. But on the internet, things move quicker so instead of 20-30 years, it’s more like 5-10.

Marketing really missed an opportunity for “InfiniTurd” on that one.
