Last year after some family tragedy and living comoletely alone for the first time, I stopped watching the news (really TV entirely) and I gotta say I am generally happier. I won’t weigh in on “right” or “wrong” in a moral sense because at the end of the day that is pretty subjective. But I will say that it might be right for you, and that it definitely was for me. The world’s gonna do what it does and it will keep going whether or not I watch, so I may as well restrict my attention to the things I care about and can personally control. I’ve recently started occasionally updating myself but only in brief.

This is the real answer here. For me it was joining a local game club. It got me out of the house and hanging out with people in person which was a huge imporvement on things

The Ship. It’s normally supposed to be a social deduction game, but some friends and I all get together in a private server and basically just play deathmatch. It’s hilarious because most of fhe weapons are really hard to kill with and you still have to be sneaky because if you get caught, you go to jail (which is also full of shanks). It always leads to some great chaos, especially with more people.

When my brother died and my mom was essentially paralyzed with the grief and depression, my English Bulldog would just go to wherever my mom was laying and lay her face on my moms face and just stay there to comfort her for however long it took.

Over the last 13 years or so my entire family have died of everything from cancer to suicide. I’m the youngest, and I’m at the front of the line. Life is short, don’t waste time.
