Because the military has been fighting it for years. I remember having a SHARP class where the instructor was telling us that we didn’t want this, that civilians shouldn’t get involved in military matters and some other bullshit I can’t recall.
I was too young, dumb, and loyal to a fault to understand what was being said.
The guy calls so many others pedos, what’s the likelihood he’s projecting?
I just really get this feeling that he is. Or maybe I’m just trying to apply logic to the situation, because you’re right it is insanity.
Honestly I just assume these people are driven by their greed and only care about numbers
Morality is a lost concept these days, people just want power and money
I guess to be fair, I have lost just about all my faith in society/humanity so I just assume the worst lately.
He just needs the illusion that it’s profitable. He doesn’t care if user engagement is shitting on him, as long as users are still engaged. Once he’s lined his pockets, he’s gonna jump ship. But not before he’s able to milk every penny he thinks he can get.
Spez is just trying to make Reddit as profitable as possible before jumping ship. He doesn’t care what happens to Reddit, just what it can get him.
I dunno, I thought your wording perfectly described Reddit comment experience 🤷🏻♀️
I like Lemmy Lemons 🍋
Lemons always bring to mind Cave Johnson’s rant about making life take the lemons back and burning houses down with combustible lemons😌
No problem! Thanks for the post, I’ve been waiting for memmy!

I had a random mark Hamill verge interview start playing on my phone one morning. No apps open, no idea why it started, and I don’t follow the verge anywhere. Tapped on the thing and it opened Reddit. Didn’t go anywhere, just opened it.
I deleted the app after that. Switched to Apollo till it died and now I’m here.
Same.
How many times was TikTok supposed to have been banned now?
Memmy is full and I can’t login on liftoff 🥲 wefwef is nice but I like an actual app
Edit: I got lift off workin!
Only way I’ll go back is if they oust Huffman as CEO
It’s gonna take a little getting used too, and there are some subs that it’ll take awhile to replace
But I haven’t been on Reddit since Apollo stopped working on the 30th so it’s somethin
I dunno. Seems smarter and more lucrative than buying shit from companies you don’t like and burning it like a sociopathic child.
