Insurgency : Sandstorm
I think it requires steam but iirc there are community servers so maybe there are non-vac servers (which shouldn’t require steam)

Part of the problem is simply defining ultra-processed foods.
The new CDC report used the most common definition based on the four-tier Nova system developed by Brazilian researchers that classifies foods according to the amount of processing they undergo. Such foods tend to be “hyperpalatable, energy-dense, low in dietary fiber and contain little or no whole foods, while having high amounts of salt, sweeteners and unhealthy fats,” the CDC report said
I figured that could be the reason, like with the various ways soldiers find to carry their rifles more comfortably, but I just don’t understand the physics of it here. Pulling on a backpack straps, I get, you are basically offloading the weight from your back and into your arms (and, as you said, bringing it higher to make it a little more comfortable to wear), but here it looks like it would just strain your neck and possibly your back even more since there are plates on both sides (which I assume is the heaviest, most “problematic” parts of the vest regarding comfort).
Guess I need to wear some body armor to understand it, physics and biomechanics do be weird sometimes.
Also, yes, but it is ridiculous how they seemingly can’t stand up for 5 seconds without striking that pose. Or cowboy-style hands on the belt holster, etc.
I swear these guys (and a lot of police/military too) just take these jobs so they can wear a bulletproof jacket and do that pose in the article pic to “look cool” and make their arms look bigger
Imo John Wick is definitely on the same levels as batman there. Dude has some reality-bending gadgets too and beyond human levels of training/endurance.
Us nerds aren’t in total control of the internet anymore, and the vast majority of non nerds value having as little friction as possible in their usage of the internet over not letting corpo fucks hold too much power
Unfortunately the normies have replaced us, and there’s a lot more of them, so I’m not surprised they’re seeing higher number overall, even if the average normie probably doesn’t use Reddit nearly as much as we did
For sure, it’s nice with big monitors. But it’s not that important for smaller ones imo, like the 27" one I’ve been using for years. I’d say 30" and over it starts to really matter. I stand pretty close to mine so I don’t really feel the need for a huge monitor
Having tried it, I do think 120 fps feels a little smoother but I don’t think it’s worth the investment. 75 is already fine.
Imo 4k is overkill anyway, and chasing even 60 fps (not to mention 120 which seems to be the norm these days) at this resolution for current/“next” gen games is basically a scam from hardware manufacturers to get us to buy their overly expensive “gamer” grade shit.
Now I know it’s a bit of an extreme view in the gaming space, but imo this shit is not sustainable and doesn’t even bring that much to the table in terms of fidelity/enjoyment. 1440p works just fine and is much easier to work with, especially as your hardware gets older because fill rate really is a bitch with modern photorealistic games.
Yeah I saw that this morning when I tried to find the next article. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
I was gonna say, I love fatshark’s games but unfortunately they’ve been pretty fucking far from based lately
Yeah, I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Thanks for sharing OP !
It’s a real phenomenon when talking about incidents involving two vehicles because you unconsciously dehumanize the person in the vehicle since you’re not directly engaging with them, but their machine, and can’t really see the person in it.
Same principle applies on the internet where people aren’t seeing a person when they are verbally abusing someone online, which makes it much easier to ignore the empathic part of our brain. At least that’s what I heard on the radio.
That being said, this one involves a cyclist so I’d just call it attempted murder too.
I felt like shit for bumping a guy’s car at 5kmh because it snowed (not common here, so I was on summer tires) and I slipped while braking. He must have noticed it in my face because he cheered me up when he saw that the bumper didn’t even have a mark
Can’t believe some people would run into a cyclist head on on purpose and live with themselves after, dude’s gotta have some anti social disorder
My friends who were all disappointed by 2042 are basically all proudly taking the bait already…
Edit : oh also I forgot, EA expects it to sell 100 MILLIONS UNITS. They’re literally setting it up to fail even if it’s the most successful game ever in the franchise by a factor of 4. Or their execs are wildly incompetent. At this point I can’t be sure which one it is
Also it’s not like windows doesn’t routinely “forgets” these settings with updates. Or harasses you to opt in again with every update, in the hopes that one day you’ll let it slip
Oh so they’re just doing whatever Firefox is doing in private mode on Android that makes screenshots all black
Maybe that’s when they also added the ability to subscribe to channels, making it actually useful to have an account if you weren’t uploading videos ?
Idk, just spitballing, my own account is from 2009, because in 2006 my parents definitely didn’t have a broadband subscription, and Dailymotion was kinda superior to YouTube for a short time, so that’s where I usually went for a while.
