  • Imagine thinking that forcing religion and heterosexual norms on a child will change their mind. Your religion does not dictate mine or my kids lives or lifestyles and don’t want that religious indoctrination forced on to us.

Some people (Ally’s, LGBTQIA+, Genderqueer individuals, etc…) just don’t accept that as an acceptable norm in their culture and don’t want their children to think it’s an acceptable lifestyle. As someone who has a plethora of religious friends and acquaintances and comes from one of those liberal cultures I simply mean that I respect them and their rights but I also want to raise my children to grow up being their authentic selfs and living their life.

  • I’m confused, so he identifies this problem ten years ago but only just now raised an alarm as his contract was due to be up on Monday?

According to the Financial Times, which first reported the story, Dutch internet entrepreneur Johannes Zuurbier identified the problem more than 10 years ago.

Since 2013, he has had a contract to manage Mali’s country domain and, in recent months, has reportedly collected tens of thousands of misdirected emails.

None were marked as classified, but, according to the newspaper, they included medical data, maps of US military facilities, financial records and the planning documents for official trips as well as some diplomatic messages.

Mr Zuurbier wrote a letter to US officials this month to raise the alarm. He said that his contract with the Mali government was due to finish soon, meaning “the risk is real and could be exploited by adversaries of the US”.

Mali’s military government was due to take control of the domain on Monday.

  • I mean I have first editions of the original runs from 1997 when they were brand new to the states. In fact, all of my cards are from the original set that was released, I never collected anything past the first 151 set. I’m not saying their valuation was not inflated, but it’s the usual trope of “oh hey, you remember that old nintendo, those old basketball cards, old baseball cards, etc… I got rid of them” trope

Now something that was super inflated, beanie babies and yes, I still have almost all of the old mcdonald’s ones still in bags from when I was a little girl. I don’t care that they aren’t worth monetary value, they are worth something to me sentimentally. Something I collected with my mom.
