  • Find out who organized a protest that you would have wanted to join, start following them on social media, they will usually announce any upcoming protests there.

You can also try Googling to find organizations in your area that match your ideologies by entering {ideology} + {location} in Google, e.g. “BLM San Francisco” and sign up for newsletters.

In the beginning it will be a lot of active looking but once you start following the right accounts on social media and you’ve signed up for some newsletters/mailinglists, you should be able to passively consume what’s happening next and where.

  • Mobs of pro-Hamas students and faculty have marched by the hundreds through Harvard’s campus, shouting vile antisemitic slogans and calling for death to Jews and Israel

I’m sorry, what? I have a hard time believing that. Hundreds of pro-Hamas students? Do they mean pro-Palestinian maybe? Which; let’s be clear is not the same thing.

So how about we make sure everyone feels safe on campus. Muslims, Jewish people, Palestinians, black people, Asians, gay people, every single human being. There is enough hate in the world as is, we don’t need to keep adding fuel to the fire.

  • Diala Shamas is senior staff attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), a hunan rights nonprofit headquartered in New York City. She said that while donations to communities like Ma’on, “are illegal under international law and could be illegal under US law, the problem has always been one of enforcement”.

She believes that attorneys-general could prosecute over donations funding illegal acts, and the IRS could enforce its own rules on equivalence, but “Israeli causes have enjoyed complete impunity”.

Yeah, let’s not hold our breath for consequences.
