Wasn’t that one of the Incan gods?
No worries :)
Besides, it was the luck of the feed. The t-shirt post was only two posts above this one when I was browsing :)
It looks like you’ve replied to the wrong post. There’s a post in !asklemmy@lemmy.world about a Luigi t-shirt 👍
Yeah, that’s the one. I’ve just checked the Wikipedia page for it, and it was rereleased on the Switch, so I’ve got it muddled up.
Apologies OP :)
Sorry, yes, Meta Knight :)
My kid used to love one of the Kirby games for the Wii, where the three of us could play at the same time. I can’t remember the name of it, but I’m pretty sure it was previously released for the SNES. It was the one with Armor Knight, if I’m remembering the character name correctly.
A lot of it is momentum / inertia? (I can’t think of the right word).
Basically, Ubuntu was the distro for years. It was the one that just worked and was easy for new users. It built on Debian’s stability and made everything easier. All the beginner guides and how to guides were written with Ubuntu in mind, so lots of new users switched to it too.
Mint built on Ubuntu’s success, and made things even easier for people switching from Windows, by doing things like putting the start menu in the same place, and making everything look familiar. Because it’s based on Ubuntu, the guides all still work too. As Canonical started making unpopular decisions with Ubuntu, Mint took the lead as the distro to switch to.
Now, other distros like Fedora, and DEs like KDE have caught up, and even passed Mint for ease of use, that history is hard to overcome :)
I thought I had disabled it, and I don’t have the app, but I can’t see any way to remove it from any of the settings mentioned in the email 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t use them either, but still got the email.
People: Oh how cool, I can monitor my chicken nuggets from my couch ~5m away.
This would genuinely be handy for me though. I’ve got a nine year old, and have similar aged kids over quite regularly. If I’m dealing with the kids, I can’t always hear the air fryer finishing. A notification to the phone that’s in my pocket would be really helpful.
As you say though, there’s always shit tacked on :(
Yep. I’ve said this before, but I don’t understand how a community that only provides links to external communities is supposed to help Lemmy grow, as opposed to taking people away 🤷🏻♂️
It works in Voyager on Android if I tap the image, but it’s static in the thread.
USB floppy drives are pretty easy to buy online now. I bought one from either Amazon or Ali Express a little while ago, and it works perfectly :)
It’s a great series too. I’m overdue a catchup 🙂
How big is the pin?
You can get waterproof Bluetooth speakers that are designed to go in the shower for less than £10 in the UK. The sound quality isn’t amazing, but they’re not much different from a phone speaker, especially with the sound of the water 👍
“NOT LIKE THAT! NOT LIKE THAT!”
It’s not showing me the version on the app page, but if I search on F-Droid it’s showing the version as 2.30.2.
For some reason, it’s now showing the same version, but saying it was updated one day ago, so I’m not sure what happened.
I’ve just checked, and F-Droid has version 2.30.2, which is the version I got from the Google Play Store a few days ago. It says that it was updated six days ago, so around the same time as the other thread.
