That’s very true. But, it’s something that appears to be way more common that it uses to be.
Maybe I’m just missing some crucial info, but an amusement park seems like a fundamentally different thing than software.

Forced relocation of more than 20 miles or so (some reasonable amount that doesn’t require a move) should not allow a company to get out of severance. That should be illegal.
And Linux has come so far in gaming. The worst part isn’t the games themselves, but all the other crap companies make you install. The stupid Ubisoft and ea apps are the only reason I use windows at all.
I think an educated populace is an invaluable resource. But, nothing is stopping someone from not going to free college if they want.

Practically speaking, I get why students look at it that way because, like you said, it is an expensive luxury at that price.
