I assume it happened around the time most of us left for other places. The fascist community there probably hasn’t grown much in numbers, but as a percentage it increased because the decent people left.
What if find absolutely wild is how their stock didn’t just flop. The site has been on a downward spiral since the first redesign, and with the cut to API they’ve basically entered a freefall. I could seen people backing Reddit like 14 years ago, but now? Why?
I suppose if there’s any optimism to have in OP’s post it’s that the bots are at least propagating messaging that’s better for the greater good than the typical shit that’s trying to get us into a full dystopia.
The snowflaking and censorship in that subreddit is wild
“Joebama made too many regulations, so you can’t properly calibrate your printer.” 🤣
Depending on the community, a lot of the hostility could be from Russian/Chinese/N.Korean bots
Ok? The issue wasn’t clearly defined. There’s always pop sockets and similar to make it easier to hold. That said, my teenaged kids have 0 be issue holding this phone so idk what OP is on about
Who the fuck would want to buy Reddit now? It’s absolute shit… 2010 Reddit would have been the Reddit I’d buy into
Using one handed isn’t really an issue if you toggle the one-handed mode…
One-handed mode exists if you need to reach the whole area of the interface with one hand, albeit it won’t help if grip is an issue. Maybe a pop socket kinda thing for that?
Most larger phones have a single-hand mode that gives you kind of a picture-in-picture of the screen itself.
I went S2 -> S5 -> S8+ -> Note 10+ -> S23 Ultra
Never really felt my phone was too big, though there are times where I’ve got a show to go to and wish I had a cheap flip phone to fall back on. The older phones seemed fine at the time until I realized how much better the bigger screens were. I’m not sure I’d want one bigger than the S23 Ultra, unless it folded out to a tablet.
I don’t get why you’d want a smaller phone unless you’re looking to get one in a flip-phone style form factor. I’d be down for that. I miss being able to accurately text from my pocket.
Lol I saw this too. Who the fuck would want to buy shares in Reddit these days? Who the fuck would buy shares in a failing product with a CEO hellbent on ruining it further?
Had this been 10 years ago, I might have fallen for it.
I don’t mind the size, as mine often doubles as the pocket computer that it is. I just wish they’d stop wasting so much time and money with cameras. If I wanted pro pictures, I’d carry an actual camera with me.
That seems incredibly dumb and backwards. I guess doing it this way helps them expedite its death like all their other products lol
Middle UI was junk too. old.reddit.com is basically the only usable layout.

Wow, TWO terrorists working in the US government‽‽ /s
I still poke around on there now and again, but not as much as I used to. The day they kill 3rd party apps and the old site will be the day I completely stop using it - namely because neither their app nor their redesigns are actually useable. I have no idea how people tolerate them - they are absolutely garbage. Their latest trick is adding a bunch of metadata crap in their search links completely breaking most 3rd party apps still kicking.
Next time you see a /s/ in a URL, just watch how much it expands when you visit it 🤢
