PatrickStar.meme - “Is Money a legal basis?”
The multiple layers really soled it for me.
Stumbles ass first into giving creative control of their property to one of the most devoted and talented studios of the decade, leading to a wildly successful and popular game.
“That’s great! Let’s give it to someone else!” - some stupid ass exec who can only see ahead one financial quarter at a time.
What is up with this thread? So many comments focused on issues completely unrelated to this terrible situation. I’m not really sure what y’all think they should’ve done. Just let the mom and baby die together?
Letting lies online dictate your well-being is not great. It sucks, but the best thing to do is reply with the correction and move on. It’s not within any of our powers to force others to accept truth, and it’ll drive one to madness to try.
And I’ll voice mine.
Mine is neither, but go off.
Nah, I think I will.
Lol, the cognitive dissonance of whining about capitalism because their vidya game got a little more expensive. Not only is the entitlement and hypocrisy off the charts, there are so many ways to play games for cheap and/or free, the criticism is entirely moot. Don’t like the price a company is asking for for an entirely optional commodity? Don’t fucking pay it. It’s not that hard.
All of those comments and posts will remain on instances they have federated to. Transferring posting history would necessitate resubmitting every single post you’ve ever made, needlessly and messily duplicating one user’s presence across the fediverse. And in the case of a closing instance, that bulk is multiplied several hundred or thousand times over. Not a reasonable request by any stretch.
The real answer is “He’s a narcissist”. This is just parroting his handler’s bullshit damage control.
There is a continuing story, but the first two are very different games, even from each other. They’re certainly fun, but won’t really be indicative of anything other than if you like the story or not, which you could mostly gather from wikis or video summaries. All that to say - it likely won’t change your experience of 3 if you don’t play the previous two directly.
Blackmailing customers onto your service isn’t competition.
“One for exploring and one for fighting” is much less meta than I was expecting from a “Double-Deckbuilder”.
They’re not. They’re pointing out problems with the legal system as it stands. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.
Honestly, it’s sad that my first thought was, “Oh? They’re all women? That’s progress!”.
This story isn’t about can Canadian jobs.
“Oh no! My exploited labor!” Fuck off. What’s happening is atrocious, but not because these fuckers can’t continue to underpay immigrants.
She was also facing imminent death from organ failure. Not exactly unheard of for a person facing down a painful death like that to take matters into their own hands.
I fucking hate all caps titles.
This isn’t TACO, it’s graft.
