It need to talk RCS first, then it could encrypt with MLS.
Like web browser that needs to speak http and then encrypts the traffic via TLS.

Isn’t dMLS just MLS but adopted for multiple servers?
Nope. This is standard purely for encrypting messages, nothing to do with open APIs or formatting messages themselfs. Basically TLS but for E2EE instead of SSL.
Only if Signal developers want to swap their Signal encryption protocol for MLS. And I doubt they will for next years, as MLS is not as battle tested yet. Signal is laser focus on security for “normies”, not interoperability or free software.
Good to remind that MLS is just an end2end encryption standard, not whole messaging standard. And like TLS is useless on it’s own and needs content protocol like HTTP to combine it with.
Stil really good, since this means bridges between networks adopting MLS, like XMPP, Matrix and RCS could work with full E2EE.
Companies to protect us from problem they created.
The thing is, sites do not have to be that way, as they are mostly independent from each other.
In society we have so much lecacy with no ability to change. But websites can be done without making them overcomplicated and working only on two most popular web engines.
Every website that breaks after you delete/disable one HTML tag or CSS declaraction is a badly designed document.
Hacks are cool sometimes, but every site now is hack upon hack upon hack upon hack…
Instead of a fish, I’m going to give you a rod.

Vest that could actually tickle would be a cool thing to have 😆.
Ubuntu Touch can be as limiting as Android, with without app ecosystem. It is design without free root access in mind.
I would much rather see PostmarketOS as an option, but deGoogled-first phone is also awesome.
For some people apps from F-Droid are enough. If we would get at least half the app base as on F-Droid alternative OSes are going to be usable.
With systems like PostmarketOS we could have personal computer that fits in a hand and have radio communication. We are going there, there are more Linux apps every month. The biggest problem I think is more phones with more open hardware.
Mine use Messenger too. Deleted it myself, we need to show good example and move society around us forward.
Lack of privacy is an implication of giving away control of social interactions.
Not true. Internet is an example of decentralized system and it supports encryption 😉. Matrix is nice decentralized chat protocol, with E2EE.
It’s just that the ActivityPub is design for public things. Not a problem when we know and remember it.
Liftoff, Thunder, Jabora… Infinity, Sync are working on their Lemmy versions.
