The magic of Three Wolf Moon exists on an entirely different plane than anything else wolf related. Those wolves are no longer a one-man wolfpack.

Spiritual faith and faith in the scientific method are not the same.
Scientific knowledge is SUPPOSED to be challenged and changed as we gain new information. Religious faith is expected to be accepted without question and regardless of information.
Your surveyor story sounds like something a christian apologist would say, or someone who doesn’t know the difference between science and religion.
Even stone age people knew the difference between East and West. If a surveyor incorrectly used a compass his work could still be verified by looking at a goddamn sunrise. If the surveyor ignored the conflicting data and, as you say “put his faith in his instruments”, it ceases to be the scientific method and becomes dogmatic fanaticism.
Upstate, downstate, all around state. Anywhere outside of large urban centers-state.
It’s the same all around America. Further from the cities you get, the more you find people exhibiting inexplicable Southern affectation, MAGA cultism and general shitheel behavior. Like, there are portions of North East OH that are geographically closer to Canada than the Mason Dixon Line, yet they’re still flying traitor flags and sound more southern than actual southerners.
Scene is (was) a relatively decent periodical in the Cleveland area. It’s mostly an ad mill, with ~50% of their page space going to advertising, but they’ve also done a decent job of covering local news. And don’t talk shit about Discount Drug Mart. They save you the runaround.
We’re reaching a French revolution type point in American history. There are people who are the product of absurd privilege, and there is everyone else.
This is tipping the scales a little bit back out of the favor of privilege. In the grand scheme, it’s effectively misguided and miniscule. But it’s a sign of progress nonetheless.
Our legal system sucks ass. There’s no reason why so much of our population should be imprisoned for relatively minor reason… but we’re also used to money being more important than culpability. Affluenza, rapists getting off because it would be detrimental to their future to be held accountable, or generally rich people being able to pay for their crimes financially instead of punitively.
So when someone from a perceived place of privilege is actually held to the same standards as one of us serfs, it’s usually celebrated. It sucks, but it’s true.
This thread more of an indictment of our shitty legal system than of the defendant.
Brooklyn is right by Parma. Parma is known by locals as having a high concentration of, as you put it, “right leaning poors”. We just call them racists. But they’re mostly boomers who are dieing out.
That whole area of Cleveland suburbs is pretty interesting. It’s a lot of diverse blue collar neighborhoods surrounded by more affluent areas. I’m honestly surprised by this story, as the youth of the area tend to be pretty progressive.
And Severance S2!
How is that person being a dick? You asked if fentanyl should be legalized, he answered your question by stating the fact fentanyl IS legally manufactured and distributed in the US.
I’m also not going to pay for their insurance. You got the cancer, YOU pay for it.
charging small amounts from every user instead of having an ad-funded business is probably the most honest and fair way to have a healthy internet
I agree, but wouldn’t you think it’s far more likely that they would charge small amounts from every user AND have an ad-funded business?
It did occur to me that maybe he’s taking one for the team.
I don’t recall ever seeing one, and even so who cares?
I’ve been paying for Spotify for years. I’ve never heard a single promo for a single right wing dipshit podcast.
People who abuse others only to hide behind fame and religion do not need us to be better. They need to be made an example of.
Don’t be glib. If it came out that my oldest friend wqs not only a rapist, but also used his fame and religion to silence the victims and avoid prosecution… AND I was involved with an organization with the express purpose of stopping sex abuse… I’d absolutely tell that friend to pound sand.
There were multiple times when I learned that friends of mine were sexually assaulted, some of those times were by people I considered friends. There’s zero chance that I’d do anything to “put in a good word” for the rapists I once called friends, because their actions in my company have ZERO baring on how they acted in private.
Tl;Dr: If you’re vouching for the upstanding nature of a convicted rapist based on your interactions when he wasn’t being a duplicitous rapist… that says more about your ignorance to how terrible that person can be as opposed to the good works you saw from the rapist when they weren’t raping. You’re also a victim.
We know, we just don’t care.
You don’t say!
I mean, I’m straight as an arrow and even I can acknowledge that they’re both stunningly beautiful in this movie.
