However, the initial transition might annoy some users. The current version of DeX in One UI 8 lacks many of the small quality-of-life features that Samsung added to its classic mode over the years.

Mildly annoying indeed. I love Samsung Dex. But I do think it’s good that this becomes more standardized across Android and not just a Samsung thing.

I still sometimes go back for content that doesn’t exist here and it’s always so jarring to see the ads.

How does this compare to Heliboard or FUTO?

Oh, my understanding is that originally they didn’t want quote posts because it could lead to a culture of people dunking on each other and a lot of negativity.

So I believe there was a lot of resistance early on against that feature. That’s just what I’ve seen people saying whenever this feature was requested over the past few years. I could be wrong though.

Wow, took them so long to get quote posts. A welcome addition imo (I know there’s a lot of controversy around implementing it, but for me, I think I prefer it).

Yeah, OnlyOffice is a lot closer to the MS experience which would make it easier for people to transition.

I use both and usually prefer OnlyOffice.
