It’s better than the victim blaming that the Vice article participates in
The BBC has an article that gives a decent overview: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-57853385
And Vice isn’t doing anyone favors by leaning into the transphobia spin: https://www.vice.com/en/article/whats-wrong-with-the-no-trans-dating-preference-debate/
A lot of this is also from personal memory. I was plugged into a lot of different communities 2018-2021on all sides of the aisle.
Thankfully people aren’t yelling at lesbians about this anymore, at least not what I’ve seen. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done.
Also unfortunately, it seems that people aren’t understanding the point of my original comment. And it’s that every group has some number of assholes in it, and it’s up to the group as a whole to make sure that said assholes don’t ruin their reputation.
This isn’t meant to bash transpeople. It’s meant as a cautionary tale to avoid letting a minority of assholes set how everyone else sees the group.
Tbf, a lot of that was driven by the wave of transwomen getting mad that lesbians aren’t attracted to them. And I never saw any pushback against these posts in the trans community.
Was there right-wing groups amplifying the reach of these comments? Yes. Should the entire trans community suffer for a small number of assholes among their ranks? Hell no.
Regardless, the lack of pushback in the trans community and its effects shows the need for groups to self-regulate to some degree. There’s assholes in every group, and pretending that there aren’t is dangerous.
At that many calories, it better be intended for multiple dozens of people
Tbh, unless you’re downloading a DLC size mod or a big 4K textures pack the installs are nearly instant at the moment
Would a federated discovery frontend work? Peertube’s back end of the service would probably work great as a starting point since it uses torrents to ease up on traffic for individual servers
Not sure if that’s supposed to be sarcasm
That explains the issues I’ve been having on Nexus mods
Also note that this is for a game without competitive multiplayet
It’s more deserving of being a planet than Pluto
Not to the degree of Pluto, which also can’t be bothered to orbit in the solar plane
They actually know their history, which you clearly don’t
Reminder to everyone that these are the same devs that raised a giant stink when GeForce Now released and originally let you stream any game that you already owned through Steam.
And in case anyone needs clarification: they wanted to force players to buy two copies of the game just to stream it. Don’t support bad behavior like this.
I’m not a fan of built-in mod managers. They’re just walled gardens that the devs have a monopoly on. It’s the biggest gripe I have about Factorio
Only downside is you have to install it for each game you want to mod,
Hopefully this means it defaults to a portable deployment. IMO if you’re using a lot of mods it’s simpler to have a dedicated install per game.
Granted, part of my setup is to toss all of the patchers and extra tools like DynDoLOD inside my MO folder. It allows me to just copy/paste the whole directory if I want to create mod lists for friends
Does it have collection support
There’s Wabbajack. But I don’t use collections as a lot of the modding community has some really weird preferences. There’s tons of mods that a lot of collections use to make Skyrim more like Ubisoft games, which personally makes me mentally gag to think about.
and can you download mods from in the app?
I didn’t know this was a thing and I honestly don’t get why this would be an advantage over just using a browser. I often compare multiple similar mods before picking one to add, and I don’t see how Vortex could beat a browser for that.
Well, after watching the United States trick liberals into being upset at Russia
Yeah, none of your comment is worth listening to after this. Slava Ukraini!
Mod Organizer 2, which has supported Linux for years
Or just pirate and emulate Nintendo games. They’re such scumbags that they make piracy morally correct
Here’s what bugs me: Why didn’t channels like GamerNexus and LTT cover the petition until after Louis declared it dead?
