I think people underestimate the mental health benefits of never thinking about whether number you can’t control or predict go up or down.
I’ve always loved the Middle Ages as a preferred setting and I found this game to be incredibly awesome. I installed the save game mod pretty quickly and got very far in the game. I found the combat a bit frustrating and mostly just cheesed it by spamming thrust, which worked ok until some big battles toward the end where I got stuck and gave up.
I would like to revisit and finish it before buying #2 when it goes on sale but I’ve tried a dozen times and can’t get past that battle. Any tips besides loading an earlier save and getting stronger? I might just watch a let’s play from that point but I would like to finish the game myself.
I love your descriptions, they provide a beautiful felt sense of the longing. I think that longing is universal, though the images we associate with it are different (warm climate, etc.)
This is a spiritual longing, the heart’s desire to be whole, to be home, to no longer feel separate. Your intuition is correct that just moving to a new place won’t resolve this longing. Everywhere you go, there you are, and you have brought all the inner baggage along with you (trauma, family and cultural conditioning, etc.) After the newness of a place wears off, the old issues return.
I’ve been on a quest to fulfill this longing over the last 15 years, through many various spiritual and psychological practices. Recently I feel that sense of wholeness again regularly, daily even. It’s been a long path to get there. If this resonates with you I’m happy to answer your questions.

Thank you. This has been bothering me for years. I’ll stock up on good ones for the house remodel!

Ditto. I just farted to look into this yesterday and found the trash guides. It was pretty incomprehensible and I gave up. I hope to come back to this thread later and see that someone has explained how to set this up simply.
Your pan is too hot! oozing cheese that crisps up on the sides is *chefs kiss*
I don’t see an issue for it in GitHub but man I’d love a split screen version of the app, posts in a column on the left and a viewport for content and comments on the right. Keep up the amazing work! Thank you!

Just checked on my pi4 with 4GB of ram that has been running beautifully as a NAS with 2x10TB USB drives mirrored, *arr suite, and Jellyfin for a couple of years, only 250mb of RAM free. I’m glad I splurged and got the 4gb model.
You don’t want a swap file on the SD card as excessive writes will kill it rather quickly.
Thank you! This has been the only missing feature from my perspective and it’s a real game changer. I’ll provide feedback once I have a chance to test it. I’d like to donate as thanks, where can I do that?
