Sony would be in the running. But i think nestle would beat them on the top spot.

This! Do they not have backups?
I buy it on steam. If it does not work, i refund it.
You just need a bigger house
5500 on steam. 1500 before steam. The best game, and most value for money i have ever spent
You want all applications to explisitly support each individual filesystem? That sounds insane. It is absolutly fair to demand some common ground like posix compliance. And a windows user can like anyone else just mount their git repo area using any other filesystem.
Absolutly. And they can just mount the git store using another filesystem. Would be the by far easiest solution.
Snort! I hate that you are right ;)
Basicaly they do not think their game is any good. So if someone takes the deal. I instantly loose interest. I mean if even the developer think it is no fun…
For there to be competition, there have to be some features. Epic just uses exclusivity deals as an alternative to features.
I am not sure what that is, but there is no competition.
Had to google “pinoneered”, but it say: “developed or be the first to use or apply” and i do not think valve did either.
They have an easy way for developers to implemet drm by require steam services tho.
But in my opinion it is better there are few well understood methods instead of a million uniqe ones. Incase there is a world this have to be reverse engeneered.
Split the wheel and copied it on the school copier. ;) much easier the copying the whole manual that was sometimes needed
Steam pioneered always on drm? Do you have a source? I thougt that was ubisoft and maxis primarily. That developers use steam services to implement their always on drm is something else. But it is the developers that have to click that checkbox.
Companies can choose to be a part of the solution, or a part of the problem. And i can choose to spend my money on the solution. I would love some redundancy on the linux gaming store front tho, just valve seams a bit fragile. And afaik gog or anyone else can also use proton or???
You can easily zip up a steam game and send it yes. And if the game developer did not implement any drm, You can play it as well. It would be piracy tho… so i support that ;)
That is just amazing! Been there, felt that! Enjoy!
Ipv4 is not even ipv4 compatible. You use nat to translate one type of ipv4 into another to talk on the internet. Ipv6 is using nat in the same way.
The problem is that ipv4 is not forward compatible ( naturally ). So ipv6 can talk to both, ipv4 only to ipv4.
Terribly sorry. This is probably my norwegian shining thru. Where concatination of words are very common.
I do not know the in’s and out of ircv3. But we use matrix/elements for videocalls. Groupcalls. Screen and videosharing etc as well; Not just text chats. Beeing able to quickly search all of your chat history across all your channels and dm’s are very nice. Not requiering a irc bouncer to recieve messages is essential.
Atleast for us having another vm among the thousands we host in our dc is not a huge cost, but i understand that is not the same for everyone.
You are correct that it would not instantly become unusable. But when all editors with integrity have ceased to contribute in frustration, wikipedia would eventually become stale, or very unreliable.
Also there is nothing stopping a person from using an llm to summarize an article for them. And the added benefit to that is that the energy and reasources used for that would be only used on the people that wanted to, not on evey single page view. I would assume the enegy consumption on that, would be significant.
