Nah, they will just get mad and still buy the MacBook because their beliefs are not actually sincere.
Holy shit who gives a fuck
When did these hallucinations first start?

I feel like I might have legitimately helped as well by mocking them incessantly for being campists and not socialists
It’s 9000 pounds and is faster than 90s supercars. It’s complete lunacy, and I’m actually quite scared of how much more dangerous it’s going to make driving.
And playing music!
For me the whole point of security cameras is real time notifications and cloud infrastructure. Having videos of someone robbing my house after the fact is a distant second motivation. Also, if officer Barbrady kicks down my door and violates my rights, he’s much more likely to get my NAS than some random docker on a random AWS colo.
Damn that thread got removed quickly
I had a 15 year old account shadowbanned from a community I contributed to daily because I don’t register emails on Reddit accounts. Apparently that was more important than my record of thousands of productive comments.
That does kind of only it could need a recharge. These cheaper units don’t actually have active monitoring for ice buildup - they just do it on a schedule based on temperature (and sometimes humidity). If you are getting ice buildup, it’s either outside the rated performance envelope, or it is not functioning as intended.
A lot of people also don’t understand that a heat pump is still heating your home, even though the air it blows might be a bit lower than your body temperature, so it feels “cool.” When that happens people assume it has stopped working and switch to aux heat. This is one of the major reasons people insist that heat pumps don’t work in the cold, even though they still have plenty of capacity margin to heat the dwelling.
My old system was actually set up so that it would pulse the electric aux heater every few minutes or so to help prevent this “drafty” feeling, and to extend the time between defrost cycles.
Your mini split probably doesn’t have a defrost function. This would all be specified in the users manual.
I don’t know that we really needed a study for this. You can find the COP vs temp vs capacity curves for every heat pump out there. This will tell you exactly how many BTUs of heat the pump will produce given a watt of electricity input. I guess they were just validating that the curves were accurate?
Bro, median household income in the US is almost $80k. It’s not 1998 anymore.
TBF understanding that horses are known for their voluminous ejaculation is critical knowledge for children.
You really start to wonder if the Lemmy Communists who make this comment in every thread realize that they sound like children.
