Like NFTs before them, tech bros trying to squeeze a technology into use cases that really don’t need it.
LLMs are language models. What next, setup Stable Diffusion to do my taxes?
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

I mean, I felt the same urge but at the end of the day we shouldn’t be pro-death. They might paint us that way, but doesn’t mean we should cheer the death of rural communities, lol
I saw. News is still more fixated on the Medicaid cuts and rural hospital closures, rather than the ICE part. The rich people getting tax cuts extended was obviously going to happen either way, though.
Given they also said the farms barely break even mostly means produce doesn’t pay well enough to afford a good deal to workers, either. These things should cost quite a bit more but don’t thanks to immigrant exploitation.
Not sure what the good deal solution would be, though. Still, people attacking undocumented folk definitely live in a racist fantasy world.
The news was talking about the patchwork, and yeah, you’d think it’s a federal issue but the injunctions can only apply where the lawsuits were, hence the 22 states that sued. At least for now.
At least that’s my understanding. It likely can’t stay in this limbo for long, anyway. Will this court be corrupt enough to say it’s constitutional when it’s clearly not? I really hope not.
Iirc, the way it’ll work out is if you’re born in one of the 22 blue states with an order, you get to be a citizen. If you’re born in a red state, though, you’re fucked. It’s a very strange issue to patchwork, though, even stranger than abortion.
That’s confusing, given all Republicans voted Nay.
I mean, we are getting news right now from Lemmy, although admittedly it’s link to a source (but most just view the headline).
But yes, getting it from viral videos and influencers, yes, that’s problematic. Plus this is a little more vetted than mother-fuxking Tiktok and Insta
People shit on the franchise because they did kind of rush production, but honestly they hold up if it’s what you’re into. It’s just kind of sad they can’t all be AC2 quality, that was probably the best of the lot in terms of storytelling, intriguing exploration, etc. I still remember climbing into that girl’s place in the opening as Ezio.
Oddly, 4 does have a few cities in addition to the nautical stuff. They aren’t big name cities, but Havana, Kingston and Nassau of that period. Kind of interesting, especially right when Pirates of the Caribbean was popular.
I like in the comments someone mentioned that Norm wasn’t meant to be in that spot but someone cancelled so they needed him to fill 5 more minutes after his stand-up. He was out of material and quite literally ad-libbed that joke his driver told him.
We know this isn’t going to be some MTG watershed moment but imagine how hilarious it’d be if she had a sort of “oh my God everything I’ve ever known is a lie, I have to tell someone!” and every single thing she did from here on was somehow rational and progressive.
Again, not how conservative minds work but it’d still be really fucking funny to me.
I like this analogy and generally avoid using GPS (admittedly it’s out of laziness lol). The most insane part to me is I live where everything is on a grid and somehow people are still impressed I can figure out how to get places, even without having been there. GPS brain is real.
Bad news except you can’t trust TV either. Or reading the news, lately. At least regardless of the medium, general advice carries-- double check sources, learn which are credible, etc.
I just hope people are following links and not just reading headlines, right? …Right?
Downey rules. And I’m not just saying that because of Porto’s (but also kinda yeah).
Yes but wouldn’t you like to sign up for an outlook account? No? Sorry that wasn’t a question, this full screen window has no X and you will comply.
… unless you do the thing that skips it, but man that’s an awful experience.
Finally some good news today.
I hadn’t even thought about it until you brought it up. Kind of disappointed in people jumping on this like flies on shit but like… it’s 2025, so bigger things to be upset about.
In any case, apples and oranges. And PSA, if you need a Switch 2, grab em on the rebound. There’ll be used ones, likely hackable in 6 months and none of that goes to Nintendo. Don’t forget what their legal department has done in the past few years.
Piracy and emulation is inevitable, although we’ll see if it’s months or years. I’m boycotting Nintendo over their legal practices, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to play their games. It’ll be extra juicy to be able to emulate it eventually, although buying used is technically an option too.
That just sounds like… what was it called… Cleverbot? Lol
