You’re thinking of hyperinflation. If that happens in the US you can have your wheelbarrow of dollars. Inflation makes money worth less, hyperinflation makes money worthless.

They don’t actually care about pissing money away. They enjoy good people getting tortured because they hate them and do not see them as people.
Not retired yet but went through a similar thing and we talked about all of our criteria and which ones were higher or lower priorities and what our concerns were. I really wanted to move to the middle of nowhere but given our criteria and concerns we ended up in a rural area near a smaller city. You’re not unreasonable to want specific things about where you live, like easy access to healthcare or a sane government, you just need to figure out what both of you can compromise on.
If there was an organized harassment campaign against her I wonder if there is any legal culpability for those involved.
Vance is part of a specific far right hyperpolitical faction of Catholics that he adopted via his patron Thiel.
Maybe they needed 3.5% of China? Since the repression was imposed from outside of the city its happening in a larger context than just the local demographics.
California does have a regulated market already. If these companies want to participate in the market they can follow the rules like other market participants.
What you are saying doesnt make sense. They established a legal regulated market for cannabis products. It exists now. If these companies want to compete in that regulated market they can follow the rules and do so.
It doesn’t, they aren’t.
How does that make sense? They have a regulated state market that he is trying to protect. Letting drugs from unregulated companies compete against regulated drugs from the companies following the rules has created a variety of serious problems in the market. I don’t understand how you are getting far right out of this.
I missed that Dyson had sued people for calling him out on his hypocrisy. What a complete piece of shit that guy is.
Maybe it has to do with its effects on GABA receptors? Have you ever tried something like gabapentin or pregabalin?
Long ago I attended a lecture by a researcher who studied exactly this phenomena. As I recall it, they found that context is very important. If you are in a setting you associate with drinking and you drink something that replicates important elements of the experience, the chances of you subjectively feeling intoxicated increase substantially. People would be shocked to find out that they had been drinking cocktails that only had alcohol on the rim or non-alcoholic beer at the end of the experiment because they had felt it so strongly. Almost everyone they tested with replication of a real drinking experience maximized felt like they had drank alcohol to some extent and you could see their behavior change in very obvious ways as if they had consumed alcohol. The less they replicated the experience the less people felt it, so a nonalcoholic cocktail with alcohol around the rim you smell as you drink was more impactful than the same drink without the smell of alcohol on the rim, and whether the experiment was done in a bar like environment or a lab like environment made a significant difference.
I think once you have been awake past a certain point your brain becomes sort of desensitized to sleepiness and it gets easier to keep staying awake. Or at least that is how my brain is, things get weird but I will feel like I can keep going when I really shouldn’t.
I didn’t keep track of them, but I’ve only ever tried to fix blatant mistakes like typos and misspellings. The most recent was several years ago, I think 2020 or 2021. If you want to see it happen find a typo and try to fix it.
I’ve tried multiple times over the years and had the same experience. As far as I can tell Wikipedia is dominated by a weird clique of power tripping dicks. If you’re not in the clique they will revert anything you do, even fixing really blatant and obvious typos or misspellings will get reverted.
Potentially yes, if you use existing IP to make music, doing it with a computer isn’t going to change anything about how the law works. It does get super complicated and there’s ambiguity depending on the specifics, but mostly if you do it a not obvious way and no one knows how you did it you’re going to be fine, anything other than that you will potentially get sued, even if whatever you did was a legally permissible use of the IP. Rightsholders generally hate when anyone who isn’t them tries to make money off their IP regardless of how they try to do it or whether they have a right to do it unless they paid for a license.
That feels categorically different unless AI has legal standing as a person. We’re talking about training LLMs, there’s not anything more than people using computers going on here.
Where does the training data come from seems like the main issue, rather than the training itself. Copying has to take place somewhere for that data to exist. I’m no fan of the current IP regime but it seems like an obvious problem if you get caught making money with terabytes of content you don’t have a license for.
Your school is likely a resource assuming its anything like a US college. They hopefully have dedicated staff for helping students find employment and/or they may have staff doing the kind of work you want to do. Talking to those people should get you pointed in the right direction.
