There are not penguins in north pole
Use StartAllBack to restore the old Start Menu and position the taskbar vertically,
So you’re saying that we need to pay for a closed source third party app to get features that were free in 10?
Maybe I’m only poor because I don’t have free space for that sort of thing.
Yeah but in 10 the old panel still works (relatively) In 11 they hide most of its configs.
It isn’t, in fact! It’s just:
• More Bloated (just compare idle ram after install and quantity of crap pre-installed, like tiktok, bing-chat, and that thing they call "Copilot)
• Has less design coesion than ever.
• Has less customisation out of box.
• Looks like the shit son of Gnome and MacOs
But sure, it’s almost the same thing.
At least KDE team knows how to count
You’re welcome! Greetings for being in the best OS soon
That was exactly my setup before I erase Windows 10, except that I use GRUB, not reFind. Yes, you will need a EFI partition, normally located in /boot or /boot/EFI. You won’t need to disable secure boot if you use some tool to create your own keys, only in installation secure boot has to be off. For that matter I use sbctl.
I personally don’t recommend any Arch based besides Arch and Artix. Arch is relatively easy to install nowadays and any Arch based system will have challenges that aren’t easy to solve by GUI (and many times they just aren’t fixable in any way besides CLI). An easier installer process can throw this problems in unprepared folks heads. I know that sometimes even Tech experts can be tired from the installation, but if you do everything right, you only will need to do it one time.
Oh, I understand it now, but there’s still some alternatives, like Artix, for example. However, I confess I am not willing to do so much work to get rid off systemd, since most things works better with it.
“Porn collection” and other expressions without God.
What’s the point in have it? Streaming pornography is extremely easy, and you can even watch paid content for free without difficult. To have tons of gigas of porn is just gross and unecessary. And hide it from who? You’re a toddler or something? It’s your computer, what isn’t allowing you to create a directory in desktop called “xxx Porn Collection xxx”?
What’s the point in install apps in the normal way in a OS where the idea is have everything compiled so everything is more efficient? If you just want to compile kernel and base components, it can be done easily by AUR in Arch.
Still better than most of Mastodon instances I think.
