Elon Musk says it a lot. Same conclusion.
Also zeppo@sh.itjust.works. Not a lot of Zeppos out here.

It prevents knocking in sensitive vintage vehicles, which were designed for leaded gas, too. That article also covers why ethanol can be harmful for them.
I think actually I was thinking the extra-high octane gas labeled ‘for collector vehicles only’.
I have an ancient PC with a nice video card, and it plays games from about five years ago quite well I haven’t felt a need to upgrade. Unfortunately, I play a couple games with kernel level anti-cheat stuff and I don’t think they will work with linux.
It’s allowed for certain types of vehicles, so people illicitly put it in to regular vehicles as well and gas stations turn a blind eye.
I’m amazed people are acting like they think nobody has ever heard of this. I suppose it was more a 2010-2015 thing.
In what way? And they supposedly have any clue what crypto currency actually means?
That makes sense. I recall some people saying it was contrary to the ethos of the Fediverse but I don’t blame Beehaw. It’s perfectly legitimate to use Lemmy as a self contained forum or to restrict federation as the admins see fit.
True, I wouldn’t expect people to know the terms ssl or tls. My point is, it’s a far, far more common application of cryptography than cryptocurrency.
Yes, because people were trained to look for the lock icon, though pretty much every site has it now, whether it’s something that necessitates security vs just privacy benefits. Maybe looking for the lock is outdated, idk, but it was emphasized a lot a few years ago.
Seems like it should be SSL.
It was a while ago. Apparently they thought their vision was more to be a self contained forum than connected to everyone else and also that it was “safer”.
I read this as melanin and it was even more confusing.
I feel like this got misinterpreted? If I’m not mistaken OP’s point is that reddit is intentionally censoring pro-Palestinian posts and controversy, not that the front page is now more quality.
Sure, I get that. The whole thing is that they imitate legitimate accounts.
No, the conclusion would be that they’re replying to me. However I’m quite certain Americans like that exist as well.
It’s taken me years and reading the explanations a dozen times to figure out what anyone involved even thought it was about.
I’ve been using reddit since 2008 and the idea of any conservative bullshit on there would have been really surprising before 2015. Overall though the amount of generic person stupidity has increased in the past few years. Not that all sports fans are like this, but often i get the stupidest reply from someone - like, close minded, blithely cruel about whatever topic - and look at their profile and the ONLY other thing they’ve commented on is sports.
It’s attributed to John Maynard Keynes.
Pretty sure I was able to rearrange icons on my IPod Touch 4 in 2010.
