Still busy with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 since it launched and got dragged into Helldivers 2 by the friends.
My friends and I are doing Dungeons of Eternity this month. We’ve had three on at once but tomorrow is the first time all four of us will be on together. Excited!
Baldur’s gate
God of war
2077
No man’s sky, later after those are finished
Thinking about replaying rise of the triad
Some ESO, some Counter-Strike in the usual amounts, however I just bought GTA IV and want to finally play the story instead of just ducking around with RPGs and “the swing” 😁
I’ve never actually finished GTA IV before, though I have messed around in it a fair bit. It’s a great game
Just found out you need to read half a book of terms to create a Rockstar Acc and need that to play the game. Refund worked tho ^^. Will probably just crack it next month.
Oh that sucks, I’ve only ever played it on the 360 on a disc without internet connection.
Metal Gear Rising : Revengeance
I watched a few playthroughs earlier this year, and was struck by the games’ vibes. Maybe I’ve become jaded, maybe 2013 was just a different time, but the over-the-top-bombastic, gratuitous-yet-totally-sincere meditation on power, violence, and humanity feels incredibly relevant, not to mention a breath of fresh air compared to the games I see coming out today.
It’s also very similar to the type of video game I’d like to make someday, so it counts as homework as well!
Not to mention it feels like half of the media/art that I love from the past 10 years has been heavily influenced by this game, so playing it could give me a fuller appreciation for them.
That’s awesome. I hope you enjoy it
The Long Dark and finishing Cyberpunk
Dune Imperium: Uprising. Gotten my whole group into it. Might organise a tournament for the heck of it.
Uprising is so much better than the base game but I don’t think they have a digital version of it yet sadly
I believe there’s a Tabletop Simulator version out, but I don’t have TTS so can’t say for sure.
I got Caves of Qud on sale over at itch.io, and have been struggling to get anywhere. The learning curve is steep, so when it gets too much I go back to my Dwarf Fortress game that I started over Christmas.

Making a second attempt to get into Mass Effect for the first time, at least until Hades 2 gets out of early access or MH Wilds comes out
Play the Legendary Edition if you can. Assuming you’re starting with the first game, there are massive quality of life improvements in that one.
I get why most people prefer the legendary remaster of the first game to the original, but I would have liked it if they’d carried a lot of the design and narative choices into the sequels. EA bought Bioware in 2007, and I think it shows, but I love jank so perhaps I’m not the most impartial judge.
That is indeed the version I got on an absolutely cracking sale
Awesome. Enjoy!
Just picked up a PS5 finally. Price dropped and tax free. First thing I did was go to the library. They had a copy of RoboCop Rogue city available which is perfect for me.
I’ve already put a hold on the dead space remake
Re-re-replaying Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
I’m trying something new to me: Skyrim.
That’s my most played game by a large margin, I used to be completely obsessed with it for years
How many hours do you have in it? I’m just getting started and I’m barely out of the tutorial, looking for food to survive.
Around 5300, which is about 4x larger than my next most played game. Are you playing the survival mode? If not then food shouldn’t be necessary to survive. It can come in handy though in some fights. Food basically acts as a healing potion (though there’s also healing potions, but obviously a little less common than food. Still common though). If you want I can give you some tips on what I like to do on a new playthrough (I can avoid spoilers and omit cheesy early game strats if you want, and only include enough stuff to make the early game a smooth experience)
I’m playing on survival mode. I don’t want any tips for now, thank you! How do you have so many hours? My most played game (Factorio) is only 800 hours.
Funny enough, in my 5300 hours I’ve never tried survival mode. It’s relatively new (at least as far as games from 2011 are concerned) so much of my playtime was from before it became an option.
Honestly, I had a lot of free time around 2016-2021 so that helped. It was also one of the only games I played for probably 3-4 years straight
What were you doing in the game with all those hours? 100%'ing it with every race?
Mods mostly. The modding scene for Skyrim is nearly infinite
Started my year off with a new computer and a portal speed run! Sub 27 mins with no quick saving was a solid start to the year.
Actually, playing portal on max graphics and getting 60fps was the real solid start 😅
Oh man I loved the Portal games. I’m assuming sub-27 is good, I’m pretty sure my shortest time is like 4 hours or something
It’s ok world record is something like 14 iirc, but lowest I’ve been able to score was sub 23
That still sounds pretty good to me. I’ve never been good at speedrunning, other than one particular level in Hitman 2016
Everspace once I’m back from my holidays abroad.
